"When I received the list of plumber in the area at 4pm, I really had not made up my mind to contact them but they contacted me and offered a free consult and then told me they could have some out in an hour - that blew me away - I was expecting a day or two. He showed up within the hour and was very professional. I explained the steps I took to unclog the drain and he politely explained alternatives for the future. He tested several sites to narrow down the clog which was located very close and not to the main line which would have cost more. It took about 15 minutes, he cleaned up and put everything back in it's original location. I didn't see any water any where. They are a little pricey but very professional and provided me with future maintenance info."

Got some numbers from Angie's list. Did some reading at Consumer Report. Called around. James of Quality responded. Honest Abe would not install a 12 yr warranty unit. Lowe's offered delivery on my unit in 10 to 14 days. Quality was there with the unit one day after the holiday weekend. Put it in that day with no hassles. Looked at a bad valve I had and did an unscheduled replace of it.

Bottom line, I would have James and Quality back again.

"I original thought I had a simple clogged kitchen drain. I attempted to unclog it myself by renting a 50' X 1/2" drain cleaner. This was the first time I used an electric drain cleaner but I thought I could do it because I had a good access at the cleanout plug under a crawl space. This was not so easy, I could tell I was hitting something but I thought it was a bend in the pipe. I gave up and searched Angie's List for a plumber. I found Knock You Plumb Out Plumbing, Inc. was offering ?Any Drain Cleaned? for $125 so I purchased the deal. Knock You Plumb Out Plumbing, Inc. used an electric drain cleaner also and got the same results as I did so I didn?t feel so bad. Unfortunately it was determined that I had a galvanized pipe that corroded and collapsed somewhere under the concrete floor in the basement laundry\furnace room. In addition it was determined that the collapsed galvanized pipe was routed under the furnace.  Knock You Plumb Out Plumbing, Inc. did an excellent job routing the new PVC pipe so the furnace didn?t have to be moved when the concrete floor was jackhammered for the new pipe. I also think the cost and time needed was very reasonable for the amount of work that was required for this new PVC drain extending from the kitchen to the main sewer line.

FAQs for drain line breakage camera locate projects in Aberdeen, MD

During the inspection, you’ll watch a high-definition video feed that shows exactly what’s going on inside the pipe—everything from minor buildup to major cracks. Your plumber pauses the footage to explain what you’re seeing and why it matters. Bright lights and self-leveling cameras make sure each section is captured clearly, so you leave with a complete picture of your sewer’s health.

Most professionals complete a standard sewer camera inspection in an hour. That window covers setting up the gear, guiding the camera through the line, and reviewing the footage with you. If your house lacks a cleanout and the technician needs to pull a toilet or access a vent stack, tack on a little extra time—and cost—for that added work.

Yes, a sewer camera inspection can help you identify septic system problems. A sewer camera gives your pro a live view of the pipes leading to the septic tank, so they can spot blockages, corrosion, leaks, or other red flags without guesswork. Pinpointing the problem quickly means you can plan the right repair and keep the entire septic system running smoothly.
