"We had a very unusual situation where existing windows had peeling film and windows could not be reached for replacement due to roof slope. We had Higinio look at.the situation and he came up with a perfect solution. Professional work and unsightly peeling film now hidden and rotting wood removed and replaced. Very pleased with his work!"

"Computer did the "gotta send info to Microsoft" but when tried to reboot it ran through automatic repair without success. I did all the alternative without any success. He came and picked up the hard drive on Tuesday and returned it on Saturday. Fortunately he was able to "restore" without any data loss. Very happy with outcome."

"Jordan Roofing has installed roofs on three homes that I own and the work has always been top notch with no corners cut.  I sell real estate and they have also done roofs for my clients and family members always with great results. | |On my recent new roof, the owner, Don Jordan, sent his crew back out after his final inspection to replace a few shingles that he felt were not  done to his high standards.  If he had not done this, I would have never known. He is very conscientious about all the work done by his crews."

"Sometimes, we've encountered caps on coverage amounts that left us still paying the difference, or something that had to be replaced but they only offered a fraction of replacement cost. We had a contractor they assigned who wouldn't show up when scheduled and wouldn't return calls. We also had a claim that they deemed to be a manufacturer defect and we had to pay the labor ourselves, which was a lot of money. Most recently, we had a problem with a/c. They sent someone the next day, and it was repaired and didn't cost us anything. That was great and was the first time we didn't have to pay anything. I feel like you just never know what you're gonna get. I do like the ease of filing a claim online and tracking it there, too."

FAQs for door or window screens install or repair projects in Alamo, IN

Most off-the-shelf screens come in fixed sizes, ranging from 18 inches by 20 inches to 36 inches by 74 inches, which fit the vast majority of residential windows. If your opening falls outside that range or has a unique shape, you’ll need a custom screen built to the exact measurements. Going custom ensures a secure fit, a solid barrier against bugs, and a clean, finished look.

The decision to repair or replace your screen depends on the extent of the damage. Small holes or tears in otherwise solid mesh can be patched, and a sturdy frame usually doesn’t need to go anywhere. However, once the frame is bent or the mesh is brittle and fraying in several spots, replacement becomes a more sensible option—and often proves to be less costly in the long run. Take a close look at both parts before making a decision.

To rescreen a window, start by prying out the old spline, then lift the torn mesh from the frame. Lay the new screen over the frame, allowing about an inch of excess on all sides, and hold it in place while pressing fresh spline into the groove with a roller. Check that the mesh is taut—many pros rest a small brick on it while they work—then trim the overhang with a utility knife.

Most window screens last for 10 to 12 years. Time, sun, and weather gradually make the mesh brittle, so you’ll start to see sagging, rips, or thinning spots that let bugs get through. Check the screens each season; if the mesh crumbles or the frame warps, it’s time to replace them to keep air flowing and pests outside.

Most pros can swap out a screen in 10 minutes to an hour. A quick pop‑in replacement goes fastest, while fitting new mesh into an existing frame or working on a hard‑to‑reach upper window adds time. Either way, plan for at least a few extra minutes per screen so the installer can verify the fit and ensure the spline is seated correctly.
