"Installed a 4 zone Fujitsu ductless heating/cooling system in ONE day (13 hours), and our historical house isn't a typical install. I got 2 other estimates that were were $5,000+ more. Had a unit installed in our kitchen (9k BTU), living room (18k BTU), den (9k BTU), and attic (18k BTU). For example, today is a humid 90 degree day and I have the units running on dry mode at 70 degrees. It's amazing, so far. "Kevin was great! The rest of the company not so much. Kevin diagnosed the problem immediately as the thermostat, had a replacement in the truck, and completed the installation of the new unit quickly. He showed me how to program the updated version, and everything seemed to be fine - until the next morning. Turned out the replacement was defective. When I called, I was told that they might not be able to get back to me that day, but Kevin interrupted his schedule to come back and put in a new (and working) unit at no charge."

Rob and his crew were great. They did everything a professional is supposed to do. They were pleasant to work with and they seemed to care about doing a good job.

They showed up on time, worked hard, did the job correctly and cleaned up after themselves before they left.

The drain repair was a nasty job. The old cast iron pipe broke right in the middle of the basement wall. They had to break through a concrete patio outside and dig approximately 4 feet down to get to the ancient cast iron drain pipe. They cut and removed the old pipe and replaced it with new PVC, including a cleanout. They also ran into issue inside the basement and had to replace more of the cast iron pipe than planned. No whining, no complaining they just did the job. Many tradesmen these days don't have much patience with old houses and their idiosyncrasies.

They did a great job and I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

"Since this was an emergency (we were concerned that the pipe might crack with no support) we went with Universe as that was the first company we contacted. The service manager (Tommy) sent over a tech (Nick) within 2 hours. Nick proceeded to remove 20ft of old pipe and replaced with new PVC and new support straps. The job took about 5 hours including the assessment and cleanup. The service was performed very professionally. We did pay $2,700, which we feel was a quite high for 5 hours of work. But, since we didn't get competing bids we can't complain."

Getting anything scheduled and completed the week of the Christmas holiday can be challenging if not impossible no matter what the task may be, but the work was completed without delay or complication at a very fair price.
