"We had Doug and his crew re-grout cracks in our shower and they were phenomenal. We had Doug come for an estimate and he was very knowledgeable and thorough. He even researched the brand of our old grout that was used (previous owners) so he was familiar with the suite of products and purchased additional products (colorant and sealant) for us to use after they re-grouted. The new grout and caulk look great and he walked us through the application of the additional products and even offered to assist with any questions as we used them. Doug worked with us to make the project cost effective and was in continuos communication with us regarding the project between the time of the estimate until after the project was complete. I would highly recommend Wolverine Custom Painting for any home projects, they go above and beyond. They also do more than painting :)."

"Artistic Construction (AC) completed two relatively small bathroom remodels. In one bathroom, the shower door was replaced with a frameless Euro-Style glass door. The shower door opening was not perfectly square, but AC was able to get the right custom measurements so that the door would fit. The door looks great! In another bathroom, AC replaced a shallow bath tub with a deeper soaking tub. They were able to match the existing ceramic tile and replaced all the plumbing and electrical fixtures. The bathroom looks brand new!"

"Three walls of unfinished basement had three cracks and numerous leaks from rusting tie rods (my 20 years of ignoring!).  The drainage line from house sump pump thru back yard to water drainage line had failed.  They replaced line, but took a different route thru basement to a new connection to city's line, having not been able to find original connection--works fine now with their new sump pump.  The water leaks required manual excavation down to basement's exterior drain tile which required pressure clean out of the tile on three sides of house, then exterior sealing of four basement wall sections and building four window wells, small stone drainage sites around house.  About a dozen interior, rusting tie rod leaks were sealed.  It has just passed the worst flooding in the area's past in August 2014 without a leak!  The sump pump system performed.  As a smaller company, it was helpful that I was home to review work, answer questions, approve changes and additions, and get the pizza for lunches (a hard working bunch in August heat).  They needed additional direction in sod replacement from sump line cuts and you need to walk the job with a supervisor when completed.  They did additional work at no cost recutting and replacing an expanded area of patio pavers.  The owner was always reachable by phone and responsive for scheduling and visiting the site.  Troy was onsite for tapping into their drainage line.  An additional wood bracing along basement wall-ceiling interface proved useful for rehanging peg boards, etc., once I painted the walls ($500).

"Completed three sliding glass doors in one day was very impressed. He removed all old glass doors and installed the new custom sliding doors to fit perfectly and finished my new beautiful doors with trim. He had amazing craftsmanship, was very punctual, trustworthy, and very fair in price. "Jeff Michrina is the owner of JAM Home Services, managing via subcontracting work in paint, flooring, carpentry, kitchens and bathrooms according to his business card. He was prompt in responding to my request for an in-house assessment and quote. He arrived at his appointed time, was friendly, patient and offered an easily understood explanation of his work background & ethic. As we made a walk-through of the house, Jeff made notes and suggested wall repair specifics, scuff sanding of wooden bannisters, color options and best paint for the job (Sherman-Williams super paint). He explained that the paint job would be done by a 3-4 man crew with one person serving as lead. Unlike other company owners, Jeff did not use a computer. His quote was hand-written. Be prepared to wait more than a day or two to obtain a written quote. An additional 4% surcharge is added for credit card only payments as well, according to the written material. On the appointed day, four crew members arrived a bit early, and seemed to huddle before knocking on the front door. It was pretty clear that all four had bonded over the course of working together. We then met Fred (lead) who did the ceiling work, caulking and repairs; Will whose precision in cutting closely around light fixtures and edging was highly valued; David who concentrated on the doors, and wood working; and Matt who was new so painted the garage and basement drywall. When one completed his job, he went on to help another. Each member of the crew was polite, kind and seemed to enjoy working in the group. They worked tirelessly, taking only a 30 minute afternoon lunch. All heavy furniture was moved by them and then replaced. At the end of each day, surfaces were wiped down, floors swept and the areas were cleaned up. Used materials where either returned to the work truck, or bagged and placed neatly in an area for trash pick up. At the end of each day, the lead Fred and I did a walk through inspection of the day's work. Jeff also stopped by each day to talk to the lead, the crew and inspect the job. The entire job was completed in less than half the time that was originally estimated!"
