"I was impressed by how hard working and thorough the workers were. They hauled the old gas water heater out and got the new one installed promptly and did a neat job. They reconfigured an awkward gas pipe near my washing machine, replaced an exterior gas hose with a UV resistant one, and checked all gas piping including our gas fireplace. We were very pleased with the end result and appreciated the fair pricing. Highly recommend."

"This was not an emergency repair, we were fortunate to be able to schedule the replacement about a week in advance. Heil sent an estimator to look at the space and make a recommendation. We originally wanted a Hybrid system but they advised against it given the space and need to collect/vent moisture. We selected a 75 gallon electric water heater. On the scheduled day, They were on time, removed the old water hearter and installed the new one - professional and courteous the whole time. Unfortunately, the new heater leaked the same day. They returned and made a temporary patch until they could return the next day with a replacement part. They returned, replaced the part and after they left we found that the tank leaked again in another place. They returned the next day and before we could insist that we wanted a different tank (clearly an out of the box failure on this one) they said they would replace the tank which they did. Our first, second and third experiences with Heil were all great with customer service and technical expertise. The inconvenience of multiple extra days without hot water and having to be there for four visits was unexpected and unfortunate however Heil responded correctly and made it right. You can get the measure of a company not only when things go right but also how they respond when things go wrong. We would use them again."

"I spoke to Walt about doing an estimate to remove mold that resulted from a leak in our garage roof. Although we were slightly outside of their service area, Walt was agreeable to coming out as I was having difficulty finding and/or receiving a response from other companies with the proper mold removal certifications. Walt was able to fit us into the schedule quickly and was friendly and professional during his visit to perform the air testing and gather the necessary information to provide an estimate for the mold remediation. He contacted us promptly both by email and phone with the estimate and was able to schedule the job, all within a few days.
Kurt supervised the job and went above and beyond the call of duty. Prior to his arrival, we had not yet been able to confirm the source of the leak in the roof. Our roof is quite complex, having many different angles and being steeply pitched above the garage. A roofing company had attempted to locate the leak, but had been unsuccessful as well. Although this was not part of the service, Kurt (an experienced roofer) spent considerable time trying to find the source of the leak himself using our garden hose. He was able to isolate the area and when we called the roofers back, they concentrated on that area and were finally able to repair the roof. It's been a little over 6 months since all the repairs were completed and we've had no further water damage or mold growth. I gave AHS a rating of "N/A" for pricing as I cannot compare their pricing to other companies, who had an opportunity to provide additional estimates, but never responded to inquires. "I needed a shut off valve installed for my outside spigot. It froze and burst last winter, and I had been procrastinating on calling a plumber. Aqua was able to come out within 2 days. Arrived on time, two very pleasant guys. Put in a shutoff valve. When they left, however, I discovered a problem in that the solution they came up with meant that another water supply was cut off. I didn't blame them; I've got a really old rowhouse with very "unique" plumbing. I called them, and they came right back. Discovered the problem, made another appointment to come back. Again, arrived on time. The guys showed me every step, showed me how to operate valves, explained everything. They ended up replacing the spigot entirely, and did not charge me for the first visit."

Tim, the technician, was diligent in trying to get us running until a solution could be found. Unfortunately, our unit is just too old. Solid service and response time. If ownership chooses to replace the unit, they will be our guys without a doubt. The owner, Bryan, was very upfront on cost and potential solutions as we have a very, very old building. Everyone involved was very knowledgeable and polite."

"The Estimator was very nice and responded quickly to setup the visit and schedule the work for an old DC home with galvanized piping. The 2 installers (one very nice - Chris) did good work and cleaned up well, but didn't communicate the issues that popped up! This was irritating. They left although there were leaks and sewage coming through the kitchen sink when you turned on the bathroom sink etc. The installers claimed someone was scheduled to come the next morning, but that wasn't true because of the communication issues. Also, they promised a plumber would show up on the same day as the stoppage, but they never showed up or called. They apologized the next day, but my elderly mom still couldn't use her bathroom on the 2nd floor and had to go down to the basement to use the restroom for 5 days. They even mentioned that I had to pay for snaking the pipes although we had no blockage until the installers finished their work. The Estimator got an installer/repair tech Chris Hardesty (2nd Chris in the company) to snake and remove the stoppage (for free how nice) and fix all of the remaining issues. He is a great tech!!! He is the reason I gave an overall rating of a B. He was an "A" but the other service averaged to a "B". Thanks Chris!!! If you don't have an older home, then you should be fine, but if you do good luck with finding out promptly."
