"I called Mr. Cress when our well pump died. I had previously called a different nation wide company, and they couldn't even locate our well. At noon, I removed the other company from our property and called Mr. Cress. 45 minutes after the call ended, he was there. Before nightfall (unlike the 3-4 days from the other company), we had water again. Professional, meticulous, and a generally decent individual. Add in that my final bill was 60% of what the big chain company quoted (with a better warranty) and I would recommend Mr. Cress to anyone and everyone. He flawlessly took care of what could have been an overwhelmingly painful experience."

"DO NOT HIRE PRIDE PLUMBING. I had Pride come out last friday because of a clogged toilet and water backing up into my tub. When a cheaper option didn't work, he then had to do a much more expensive job where he removed the toilet and tried pumping from inside. that worked for a few days however the exact same issues happened just a few days later. Now, I was told that the job was under warranty and that if we had ANY issues to call them back and they would fix them right away. I called, and was immediately told we'd be charged again. Apparently, only the resetting of the toilet was under warranty. According to the man I spoke to (Steve) "anyone could just throw something in the toilet and clog it up again" My wife and I live alone with no children. No one threw anything in the toilet other than tissue and waste. Once again, do not hire Pride Plumbing unless you want to be lied to, and have the exact same problems in a few days, where they will try to charge you again."

FAQs for well pump installation and replacement projects in Asheboro, NC

Signs that your well pressure tank requires replacement include inconsistent water pressure, your pump turning on and off frequently (known as short cycling), visible leaks around the tank, or unusual noises from your well system. Physical damage, corrosion, or a tank that's reached its seven to 10-year expected lifespan may also indicate it's time for replacement. When multiple issues arise simultaneously, replacement often proves more economical than attempting repairs.

The timeframe for professional well pressure tank replacement varies depending on your specific system and any complications that might arise during installation. Factors that can affect installation time include accessibility of your current tank, whether additional components need replacement, and the complexity of your well system. For precise timing expectations, consult with the professional handling your installation.

Attempting to replace your well pressure tank involves several potential risks, including improper pressure calibration that could damage your pump, contamination of your water supply, and physical injury from handling heavy equipment. Additionally, incorrect installation might lead to water leaks, property damage, or system inefficiency. Many manufacturers also specify that professional installation is required to maintain warranty coverage, making the $125 to $200 professional installation fee a worthwhile investment for most homeowners.
