"Diagnosis and repair were straightforward and the talented Mike, who has done other great work for us on our ACs, had a replacement pump in his truck. Swapped over in under an hour. Cost of the repair was quite high, mainly due to very high price they charged for the pump. A Taco pump that I could buy for $175 was priced on this repair at more than $500. I get that it was an urgent situation and I’m happy to pay reasonably for the response but that mark-up bothered me. I called the office, had a long talk with the owner; sadly, she offered no consideration at all. Yes, it’s hard to find and keep skilled techs, but now seems that most HVAC firms have a business model like a car dealer’s service dept, far more corporate, less flexible or customer-considerate."

"Excellent service, very fast response to my request for service, picked up laptop, diagnosed issues. Initially thought it was an OS update issue but the hard drive had failed along with other components (including 'CPU). Because other components were involved, a new solid state hard drive was put into a laptop with a working processor - same type CPU as in the failed unit. The laptop was repaired and returned in less than a week. This company picked up and dropped off the laptop (driving from Huntsville, AL (about 60-70 minutes)-- great service in this covid environment. "This was among the best experiences I have had with any third-party contractor, period. We did an expensive central A/C replacement. Seashore Comfort was knowledgeable, responsive, professional and technically proficient. We needed a 20-year old A/C unit replaced. I called four area HVAC specialists and almost didn't call Seashore because they had relatively few online reviews (although the ones they did have were positive). Turns out the company was started relatively recently by a veteran tech and his wife, who worked locally for a couple of decades. Every aspect of this project was impressive - from the front-office communication to the quoting process to the technical description of what are options were to the quality and craftsmanship of the install. Furthermore, I _almost_ went with a different quote from the local "giant" and that would have been a huge mistake. It took quite a bit of technical research and education on my part but what that company was proposing would not have been the best choice of solution for our application. That would have been a costly, long-term mistake. So, in short, this is a scrappy young company with the all the benefit of experience of a much older company. Proceed without reservation."
