"I am very satisfied with the quality of work and professionalism of this company. I called them to make numerous repairs (listed below) that found during inspection of my new home. The repairman, Jeremy, was very respectful and efficient. Based on research, I believe the company's prices are reasonable, and I'm not looking to go bargain-basement on electrical repairs. I want quality. In about 2-3 hours, Jeremy (with the assistance of a colleague he called in once it was clear there was more work to do), made the following repairs for $1,154: 1) repaired defective GFCI; 2) repaired two sets of spliced wires and added two junction boxes; 3) repaired plastic couplings at the connections between the electric utility wire and the house main wire; 4) added connectors to all unsecured wiring in my electrical panel and labeled breakers; 5) and identified and repaired a "double-tap" wiring situation in my kitchen. Furthermore, Jeremy suggested a more cost-effective way to fix my dryer situation: recording (~$150) vs. changing the outlet (~$600). Luckily, once my dryer arrived it turned out it was three-prong and thus fit the old-style outlet so I didn't need to do either. But I still appreciated his honesty about my options. I would definitely call TE Certified Electricians again — particularly since they sent me a "5% off for life" coupon after this service."

"I appreciated the prompt response and the ability to schedule an appointment less than a week out. The service provided was good for the money (I have two a/c units) and he repaired any damage right then and there. Very professional and he did not track dirt in my house which is a plus. I would use his service again!"

"I selected having my new HVAC (heatpump) system installed by Ragsdale based on the qualified sales consultation, the use of Carrier products made in the USA, and Ragsdale being a local certified family run business. My new unit was installed this morning by two technicians who worked efficiently and who kept me in the loop about the new equipment, thermostat, warranty, and FAQs. They were polite, neat & tidy. Well recommended."

"I was referred to Paze Heating and Cooling by a well-respected friend, and I immediately understood why. I have referred this company to several others and will continue to do so. Mr. Zeno Pace and his team are expert technicians. His responsiveness is very timely and his pricing is well worth the level of service he gives. I recently had an A/C problem that was covered by my home warranty company. Mr. Zeno helped me understand and articulate the repairs needed so that I would not be taken advantage of by the other contractor. Ultimately, I was taken advantage of by the other contractor, and Paze Heating and Air came to the rescue. Mr. Zeno responded immediately and fixed the damage the other contractor left. You will not go wrong with Paze Heating and Cooling."

"I've used Ace & A for over 20 years and have them do annual service maintenance on both heating and A/C. The technicians always do a thorough, professional job and are good about communicating any known or potential problems. The office staff is friendly and good about letting you know about arrivals or delays. The system is aging and I will definitely consider them when I get quotes on a replacement."

"I received several quotes for this work. As soon as I saw this company’s approach, I assumed they would be the highest. The technicians were well dressed (in uniforms), drove company trucks with logos, used masks and foot protection to respect the house and the client, gave written quotes along with professionally printed company information. All the signs pointed to “highest quote” and my mind was screaming it the whole time. Even with the overhead, they ended up being the lowest cost. They maintained professionalism throughout the install and included all services (needed new electrical service run for a mini-split that we were adding). This was a big job, replacing 2 full HVAC units and adding the mini-split. Can’t recommend enough."

FAQs for central a/c service or repair projects in Avondale Estates, GA

A condenser fan motor is a crucial part of your air conditioner that prevents the compressor from overheating. It pulls heat from your AC unit to cool the refrigerant moving through the condenser coils. This allows your system to blow cool air and keeps everything running smoothly.

The most common causes of AC fan motor failure include loss of lubricant in the system due to overheating and a rusted or leaking run capacitor. Poor lubrication can also cause failure in the belt drive, which may impact the AC fan motor. Weather and electrical components can also affect your AC. For example, a storm could send water into your motor windings and damage the internal components.

Air conditioner fan motors last about 12 years on average, though they can last longer if maintained well. This includes keeping them clean and cooled as needed with annual air conditioner checkups. Routine maintenance is essential to catch AC fan issues early. An HVAC inspection can cost between $70 and $500, while AC cleaning services may range from $100 to $400.

A broken AC fan motor may need replacement because this part usually can’t be repaired. Several things indicate it’s time to replace your AC fan motor, including buzzing noises, a constantly running fan, unusually high energy bills, or an aging system. If you notice these signs, call an HVAC pro for help before the faulty motor starts to strain other parts of the AC system.

There are clear warning signs of a bad AC fan motor, including unusual interruptions in the fan operation. The motor might be malfunctioning if you hear weird noises like grinding or rattling or if the fan continues to spin when the unit is off. These indicators compromise your AC’s cooling performance and increase your energy costs. Addressing these issues immediately by contacting a trusted HVAC professional prevents further damage and safeguards your HVAC's efficiency.

Replacing your AC fan motor takes a professional one to four hours. The technician will start by assessing your system and safely removing the damaged motor. If a new part needs to be ordered, it might take a few days. Once the part is available, your pro will install it properly and make sure your system is running smoothly.
