"I had two wall sections with damage that needed to be repaired with new drywall and paint. Vitaly from Apex Design Build did a beautiful job on the walls -- I'm very impressed. I hope not to need that skill again any time soon, but I will certainly contact them the next time I need another wall repaired -- it's virtually impossible to tell there had been damage. He also adjusted a ceiling fan that had been installed by a friend (a mistake -- use a professional!) and it took him only 15 minutes. I have always been very impressed by how Apex Design Build cleans up everything when they are done working -- and they even took it away with them. Excellent work and in a timely manner for me."

"Had Fritz and crew out to put on a metallic epoxy coating on my basement floor. It was a three day process for each job. I'm very pleased with the product and with the work the guys did. They even moved some heavy objects and were able to cover every inch, including under some fixed shelving. Looks great at a fair price to boot."

"The deck is beautiful. There were a few minor things that we noticed during and after the build that needed to be fixed but it was no problem. I gave punctuality a B because they began the work each day at a different time between 8 and 10. Most days they did not arrive at the time given the night before however there were some car troubles. I gave a B for professionalism for lack of communication between the boss and the men doing the actual work. The men showed up in the morning asking for the blueprints of the deck we drew, having not seen them prior to the job. Seems they should have seen the plans before the day of, we did send them to the boss. Also, they lacked some tools required for 2 people to work efficiently.  One more thing, the guys would smoke while working instead of taking 5 min at the side of the house. It would have been nice to see that happen.
They cleaned up the work-site before going home each day and were careful to not lay the pile of wood directly on the lawn. My children enjoyed staring out the window while they worked and the men were very accepting of it as well as courteous to our whole family.
My overall grade is a B because I would have liked to see some better preparedness and less "have to run to the store" because we forgot something. I felt like all the material needed ought to be there from day 1. Again, the lack of communication between the boss and the men doing the actual work. The employees however, will do anything and everything you ask of them, whatever it takes to make you happy. With a cost of course if it wasn't in the plans. Basically, the boss will get you on the calender and tell you the cost and the guys will do the rest.

Very well done, no problems from start to finish.  The building parts arrived via courier and the provider was there to receive the shipment and verify all the parts were there.  The delivery was complicated by the courier service, which refused to deliver to the back of the house, so the provider shuttled the parts from the street to the destination.

The construction of the shed proceeded  without any difficulty, and Steve the carpenter was delightful to work with, always a pleasure to have around.

"A misconnect on the first meeting to develop an estimate occurred.  I decided to proceed instead of rescheduling.   I accompanied Ian for a 30 minute discussion from inside the house, then had to leave and allowed him to continue assessing and confirming what needed to be repaired outside.  I was satisfied with the estimate and made a couple of last minute changes which were accommodated.  The estimate was done in June; the work done in October.  I was not in a hurry.   A very wet early summer caused work schedules to be delayed.  This was not a problem for me. 
A team of 3 spent 3.5 days steadily working and did, from what I can tell, a nice job including cleanup.  The trim wood they used appeared to be quality cedar.  The windows are a nice quality and I am very satisfied with them and their installation.  The estimate indicated painting to match what was put on the house previously.  The problem is, that even though the paint may have matched what was in the can, it does not necessarily match what has been on the house for a number of years.  So--I feel I need to consider an additional quote to finish the painting of the trim. 
I did not get a competitive quote on this project so I did not include price in my rating.

"He replaced some cedar on my box window. What I liked is I called for something that didn't need to be done. He said that wasn't needed and he could have told me it did. He said that it just needed to be caulked. I appreciated his honesty. He checked my whole house for wood rot. He explained everything first before doing the work. He gave me the receipt for the boards I purchased so I could get my money back from Lowe's."
