"I'm never been one to leave reviews; neither good or bad. However, the service I was granted from First Response Restoration was quite remarkable to say the least. The team at First Response Restoration really got me out of a uncomfortable pickle and served it to me as chewable as possible. I was out of town with my family for about 2 and 1/2 weeks and at this time my aging copper pipes decided to have a bladder deficiency and proceeded to push off the ever slightest tinkle of a stream. Needless to say I came back to an unexpected swimming pool so deep one might assume to get his diver's license, as this may be fitting with the abundance of water over staying its welcome. The ever so "helpful and utilitarian" insurance vultures that I've employed for many years, without the slightest need of their toils, decided that after two weeks of continued water damage due to the lack of acknowledgement on the part of the unbeknownst homeowner, us, was not going to be covered. However the team at First Response Restoration guided us through the labyrinth of bureaucratic maelstroms and chaperoned our unfortunate project to completion minimizing any of the inevitable headaches that go along with a disaster such as whirlpools and tsunamis held up in our basement letting their associates, mold and mildew, run rampant among our basement's dwindling vestiges. A very sincere Thanks to Mike and Jana with their team there at First Response Restoration. Had it not been for the finding of those angels I might have very well fitted myself out for the Olympics in domination of the breast stroke event."

"lOn 8/21/15 we had a water pipe break which caused the water valve to burst. My husband was outside and I was in a back bedroom getting ready for work. By the time we discovered it, most of our basement was in ankle deep water. After getting a plumber and a utility guy to get the plumbing fixed, we called the insurance. At first we were told it wouldn't be covered so we spent 4 days pulling up rug and padding knowing they were ruined. There was one room where the carpet was not very old so we decided to call someone to see if it could be saved. That is when Property Restoration Resolutions and it's owner Shawn Turano came into our lives.What did he do? Everything!!!  It began with his inspection of our property and his discussion with our insurance company explaining and getting them to understand and agree to cover the costs.
As far as to what he and his men did the list is long. They removed all our furniture and belongings from the basement. removed all the old carpeting and padding throughout the basement, brought in industrial size equipment to run for several hours to try to dry out the area, removed all the doors and floorboards, made a 2 ft. tall cut into every wall because the water had seeped into the inside of the walls. tried to remove the tile under the carpet but when it became suspect he ordered testing, testing was positive for asbestos,contracted a company to come in to remove the asbestos, removing the wainscot, removing the wallpaper.
Then the rebuilding began, dry walling, rebuilding the bathroom because 4 of the walls were compromised which included tiling the floor, shower floor and wall, reinstalling the toilet and sink with cabinet, hired 2 incredible painters to repaint the whole downstairs family room, 2 bedrooms, bathroom and hallway, replaced floor boards and repaired bottom of wooden door frames, contracted a company to replace all the carpeting and to tile the laundry room and attached storage room, instead of replacing the wainscot a chair bar was installed  in the family room.
They also provided a large dumpster and a large holding bin. As I took pictures of the damaged property they threw it in the dumpster and put the rest in the holding bin. When the work was done the guys returned all of the boxes and furniture and other items to the basement placing them where I asked them to put them.
 Unless you have been through something like this you cannot imagine the stress and frustration we felt at first. My husband and I are over 65 and semi-retired so those first few days were awful! Scary, hard work and overwhelming.Then we called  Property Restoration Solutions and Shawn took over.He was truly a God send. He surveyed the situation and immediately went to work . All of the people that work for him were great! Nate, Marcus and Austin were friendly, courteous and respectful. They wrapped, packed and cared for our household items as if they were their own. They worked in a timely manner always asking and respecting my opinion when needed.There were days when I had to leave them alone in the house because of my work and that was fine. I knew that the company was licensed and bonded, but I knew in my heart that I had nothing to worry about. They all were great guys.
Shawn also hired independent painters Randy and Dan Steckman who did a wonderful job, very professional. I would highly recommend them to anyone. I had them do some extra work that was not part  of the insurance settlement and their prices I thought were very reasonable.
All along the way Shawn helped us from choosing carpeting to tile to paint colors to tile and flooring for the shower. He made everything easier for us. He answered all our questions and explained anything we needed explained. I would absolutely recommend him for any of this kind of work. He and his crew are wonderful people and excellent craftsmen!!"

But the service and professionalism of everyone from the order taker to the billing department was so exceptional that I had to document it for any others who might need their services. "Mike and his crew did a great job. I compared the work to the work of another painter on a family member's house and VIP Painting was superior. On the front end Mike helped us with the selection of colors and trim options. He was able to work with my wife and I to get the look we wanted for our house. Mike's paint supplier, Sherman-Williams had a great selection of quality paints.

Mike showed up (weather permitting) when he said that he would. Due to the detail of the masking job it took a few days longer than I would have guessed but we're glad to have the great workmanship that resulted. We had Mike come back on several occasions to paint additional trim items and we we're never charged an additional setup or trip charge.

While being stored we had three of our 20+ year old storm windows break. Mike said no problem and filed a claim with his insurance company. Before having a commitment from the insurance company that they would pay the claim Mike had contacted City Glass and had the windows on order. 

Throughout the experience Mike was likable and congenial. Not all contractors share these traits. VIP Painting provided value and a great outcome. When we need our interior paint touched up we will certainly work with Mike.

The warranty did not end up covering the particular damage so I ended up doing that myself later on. They came out to do an estimate and look at it for us, but we did not actually end up using them. We did not pay for it, it was part of the closing costs. Because the work we needed wasn't covered, we did not find this service particularly useful. When I had to talk to them, I think it was three or four times that week, they were always very professional and responsive, but they just did not happen to cover the particular thing that happened to us so for that reason we would not go with them again. It was like a one-year thing that was included by the seller when they sold the house. I mean we were happy to have it but I don't think we would go out on our own and buy it.
