"I called Ray at Polar because my elderly parents had a pipe problem over Chinese New Year. I wanted to make sure they were ok but I wouldn't be there for the repair. Polar was great about explaining the cost structure, giving an estimate for what seemed to be wrong but making us aware about possible complications. They charge by task/fix from a cost book, not by hour. In the end, they were amazing about communicating with me AND my parents, they were on time, clean, polite, and did a great job. The cost book thing felt transparent and convinced us that even if there was a bigger problem, we wouldn't be gouged unreasonably. "Anji recommended four plumbers. Cassidy was the first to respond on Friday afternoon. One other plumber responded but I could not understand his heavy accent, and he asked me if I wanted him to replace the whole burner assembly. That made no sense to me and I questioned him about it. Suddenly he became "too busy" and hung up the phone. Another plumber didn't respond until Monday morning. Too late. The fourth plumber never responded at all. Cassidy asked if it was an emergency or could wait until Monday. I said Monday. and asked what time? I did not get an answer on Friday. Around 8:30P I called and got an answering service which told me that I wouldn't get a response until Monday because their office closed at 8:00P. I had asked about what time on Monday before 6:00P George arrived Monday morning. He was friendly. He knew what he was doing. He replaced the thermocouple. All work was done neatly and professionally. We have hot water again. I'd use Cassidy again."
