"Ken was fantastic! He came to do an estimate in record time and was clear about everything he would take care of. I needed my whole house upgraded, repairs done, sockets upgraded, new sockets created, old ones removed, circuit breaker box repaired and upgraded, lighting installed, an old, over the stove microwave removed and a new over the stove exhaust fan installed. He also repaired my bathroom exhaust fan with a new motor. He worked for several days and was meticulous in his work. He was also careful about COVID issues and though he was vaccinated as I was, he still wore a mask the whole time he was here. Very respectful and responsive. A couple of unexpected challenges came up and he dealt with all of them perfectly. I couldn't have had a better experience. "First time ever my house lost power and I had no clue what to do. It was late on Saturday evening. Peter determined that the house lost connection to the city grid and called ConEd. You need a licensed electrian to make the call for ConEd to come. Once ConEd fixed the issue, Peter helped with fuse box switch stuck in the off position. He trully saved the day! They concealed the cables inside the fireplace and placed the cable box in the basement out of sight. They also ran a telephone land-line to the living room from the basement. "This provider, Melvin from All City was one of the nicest and most accommodating vendors I have ever worked with. The offer was for a tilting tv mount. I wrote All City and asked if it was possible to get a full motion tv mount. They immediately wrote back and said absolutely but it would be a little extra which I expected as the bracket costs more. Scheduling was very easy and immediate, only like 3 days after I bought the service.

Most importantly, apparently my old New York City address was in the Angies list system and Melvin texted me on the day of the appointment, near the time of the appointment that he was close to my building. Well I knew this didn't sound right as I don't live in a building anymore but rather in a house 40 minutes away from NyC without traffic in Westchester. When I contacted Melvin he couldn't have been nicer or more understanding of the mistake (not sure if it was mine or Angies List but certainly wasn't his) and said no problem he would get in his car and head up to the house now. Anyone who knows NY City and traffic, let alone the extra gas and tolls and time, would understand if Melvin said sorry I can't do today or have to reschedule or have to charge extra now or have to refund altogether but he answered with the easiest going "no problem mistakes happen" and headed right up to Westchester to my house.

Once at my house he found that the install may require an extension cord to run through the wall. I wasn't home but he called me and asked if I had one. I wasn't sure and directed him to where one might be, but in the interim he offered that "not to worry," if I didn't have an extension cord he would run out to a local store and get it for me to complete the install (ends up I had one that he found). People in general don't go out of there way like this, and I greatly appreciated it.

After the install he texted me a picture of the completed job and stated that if I wasn't completely satisfied he would be happy to come back and fix or reposition anything. None of which is needed as the installation was perfectly positioned and professionally installed. If you have the need, I highly recommend Melvin from All City!

"Select Electrical was initially hired to perform a simple job (replacing three light fixtures). It was discovered while replacing one that it had previously been installed unsafely and incorrectly. They were able to come back quickly (within a few days) and resolve the issue so that we wouldn’t be without a light in our bathroom for too long. All the fixtures were installed well and work perfectly. Even though it turned into a larger than expected job, we were happy to have fixed something that was unsafe before it became a hazard. We felt pricing was fair as well given the scope of the work."
