"Sabino was great to work with. He was professional and thorough when initially inspecting roof. He completed a major job with tear off of layers of asphalt and cedar shingles. He installed the new roof with quality products. Most importantly he worked well with us in a honest manner when issues arose to rebuild a chimney and replace beams on a rotting porch. His prices were very reasonable. He did a solid job cleaning up the area when finished. It is never an easy experience to have an old roof torn off and replaced, but Sabino and his workers made the experience positive."

"We received quotes from four different contractors. Most of the quotes were in the same price range. However, we chose MP Roofing and Siding because of Mikeâ s knowledge about siding products, his enthusiasm, and because he took the time to understand our ideas for the house. His work team was here at 8 AM every morning and worked fast and efficiently until the siding, window trim, porch ceilings, shutters and gutters were finished. They replaced the storm doors and Mike installed new light fixtures on the porches. There were a few places on the house (itâ s over 100 years old) that didnâ t require siding but looked bad, such as the kick plates under the door. They replaced those and a few other areas to give the house a completely made over, refinished look. Mike constantly checked in with us to make sure we were satisfied with the progress. He monitored the work every day. I would always get an immediate response if I texted him. Mike is friendly and enthusiastic, but at the same time very serious about making sure that our house looked spectacular! We are 100% pleased with the outcome and glad we chose MP Roofing and Siding."

"My wife and I just had our basement finished by Russell Renovations. Our decision to go with them was definitely the right one...We couldn't imagine a more hassle-free process, and better finished product. I don't even know where to start. Incredible professionalism, timeliness and fairness were demonstrated by Tim, Seth and Anna from the initial estimate, throughout the construction process, and on to the finishing touches. We added a few things here and there during construction, which they never questioned, and then completed each task without sacrificing a shred of quality on any part of the project. The only thing that caused a slight delay was the carpet we selected being out of stock, and the way Tim interacted with his vendors when any problem came up was truly impressive. He's a strong advocate for his customers, and accepts nothing but the best. For example, the day the carpet arrived, we experienced an electrical issue with our house, and the carpet installer (understandably) refused to finish the project on a generator for fear of damaging his tools. Not only did Tim provide his own personal Generator, he offered to replace the carpet-installer's tools should something happen. After some Tim Russell magic, the install was completed that day. On top of their stellar work-ethic, skill and uncompromising attention to detail, Tim, Seth and Anna are fantastic to interact with on a personal level. We became true friends during the job, sharing lunches, dinners and after work drinks. On a side note, I was a little worried about having work going on in my house for 6 weeks with the percieved noise, mess and general stress of it all. However, they became a welcome fixture in our home during that time...it was almost sad when they were finished and not there on a daily basis! Tim's immensely positive outlook on everything, sense of humor and pride he took in his work were big factors in this. Our friendship continues outside of a work capacity, and we look forward to having him return later this summer to put a front porch and new door in for us. Absolutely blown away...no need to look anywhere else for a contractor."

"Summary: The Tri-Town team was very responsive and considerate, providing reliable service and quality materials at a fair price, with timely follow-up to questions/concerns even over 6 months later. Details: Of three companies contacted for this job, Tri-Town's owner (Rick), with the assistance of their courteous office manager (Lori), was the quickest to respond and the best at following up. Both the owner and the job manager (Nick) were very patient in answering my questions about the job design and material options, including the re-use of materials that were in good shape. Given the unknowns of the job (e.g., edge rot, signs of carpenter ants), they provided an estimate that was clear about multiple contingency options. The price was fair - similar to or slightly less than the other quotations. They were willing to adjust the price for work that I could complete myself, and even worked directly with me on installing the new rail posts to ensure I didn't void the new roof warranty. Tri-Town included multiple before and after photos as part of the final invoice/report. Overall, the job was well done. Minor issues and resolution: The roof was first assessed in autumn and Tri-Town was honest in acknowledging that the work should not be done until spring to make sure temperatures were suitable for proper EPDM adhesive setting conditions. We hade to use plastic sheeting and roof patch on the old roof to help prevent further damage during the winter. But we were not forgotten - the office manager called the following spring to get the work scheduled. The work crew was slightly "rough around the edges", but probably not more so than other typical roofing companies. Flicked cigarette butts on the lawn were later picked up. A loud radio was turned down upon request and with an apology. There may be a couple roofing companies in the area that are a bit more refined, but you'll probably pay more for their matching polo shirts. A sub-contractor quickly installed the new gutter, but eye-balled an incorrect (slightly reverse) slope - however, the Tri-Town team fixed the condition within about a week of my call. Several months later, a small leak developed during heavy rains. It was near an upstairs door entry, so it may not have been directly related to Tri-Town work, but they still sent a team within about a week to re-caulk all the edges around the roof and chimney free of charge. Combined with a bit of my own door-step re-caulking, there is no more leak."

"Ron did a wonderful job. He gave me a decent price. The mortar matches the rest of the house. (We have a brick home.) He cleaned up when he was done. He even vacuumed my flower bed! I was so impressed with his work I had him do two more areas of the house. I plan on using him again."

"They completed the cleaning and the inspection ($228). We had them repair the chimney ($3321) inside and out. They arrived and completed the work on schedule. They coated the exterior chimney top and covered it while drying to keep the rain out. They explained everything to us on completion. They removed the cover the next day. We now have a safe, operating fireplace."

"Very pleased with work. After looking at broken brick for a few years, it is nice to see it fixed. My home is 44yrs old and Ken was able to match the brick very well, to the point you would not know it was not the original brick. He price was very affordable and his service was professional and timely. He knows his stuff and I would definitely recommend him. <br />"

FAQs for brick or stone siding: install or completely replace projects in Buffalo, NY

Brick siding offers numerous advantages, including high durability and resistance to harsh weather conditions, requiring minimal maintenance and lasting for generations. It provides natural insulation, enhancing energy efficiency by regulating indoor temperatures year-round. Brick is fire-resistant, improving home safety, and reduces external noise for a quieter indoor environment. Its timeless aesthetic appeal boosts curb appeal and can increase your home's resale value.

Yes, you can add brick to an existing house. One option is to remove the current siding and install full brick masonry, which involves laying traditional bricks with mortar for a solid brick exterior. Alternatively, you can opt for brick veneer siding, a thinner layer of real or manufactured brick applied over the existing structure. Brick veneer is typically more affordable and easier to install while still providing the aesthetic benefits of brick. Both methods can enhance your home's appearance and value.

Yes, installing brick siding often provides a significant return on investment. With an average ROI of around 77%, and some returns exceeding 80%, brick siding enhances curb appeal, energy efficiency, and longevity, making your home more attractive to potential buyers and potentially increasing resale value.

Brick siding is known for its exceptional longevity, often lasting over 100 years when properly maintained. Regular maintenance, like repointing mortar joints, ensures its durability over time. Brick veneer, while thinner than full brick masonry, is durable and can last up to 50 years or more with proper care. Both options offer long-lasting protection and value for your home.

When choosing brick siding, consider your budget, as costs can vary depending on brick type and installation method. Also, consider your desired aesthetic; different bricks offer various colors, textures, and styles to complement your home's architecture. Installation time and complexity are factors, with options like brick veneer being quicker and less labor-intensive than full brick masonry. Additionally, assess the maintenance requirements and durability to select the best option for your long-term needs.

Alternatives to brick siding include vinyl siding, which is cost-effective and low-maintenance and offers a variety of colors and styles. Wood siding provides a natural, classic look but requires more upkeep to prevent weather damage. Fiber cement siding is durable and can mimic the appearance of wood or masonry without the high maintenance. Each alternative has its own advantages, so consider factors like budget, aesthetics, and maintenance when making your choice.
