The unit is 18 yrs old and I as the landlord knew I was on borrowed time. Rather than put more money into the A/C unit, I asked for a quote on replacing the complete HVAC system (A/C and Furnace) and if they would give me a discount if I did both sides of the duplex. They gave me a very competitive bid on replacing both HVAC systems and they were installed the very next day. Happy tenants, happy landlord.
