"Removed old hot water tank and replaced it with a tankless hot water heater. Work was done in crawl space with less than six feet height available in work area. All done in a few hours last September. It's now the following August (11 months or so later). Everything seems to be working okay. Workmen were polite, professional, timely, focused on the job, carried away all the old parts and cleaned up well---we were quite pleased with the whole process."

"<blockquote> <blockquote> My blower motor on my AC went out August 9, 2013.  I checked Angie's List for highly rated heating and air companies in Fayetteville, N.C.  Blanton's was one of the first companies on the list.  I  called Blanton's Friday morning to see if a technician could come to my house.   Tanya, the office dispatch, told me all technicians were booked for Friday but she had her technicians ask any customers with routine maintenance whether or not they would  reschedule in order to free up a slot for me.  Tanya also went ahead to schedule me for a Monday appointment in case no customers would reschedule their routine maintenance.  I want to point out that I also called other companies in the area, and those other companies did not offer to check whether their technicians could reschedule their routine maintenance customers in order to put me on their schedule.  One of  Blanton's technicians John was able to reschedule a customer and come to my house and check the AC unit.  John did all the necessary tests and found that the blower motor was bad.  He gave the name and serial number of the motor  to Tanya so she could search for the availability of the part.  Tanya searched very extensively for the availability of this motor and discovered there was anywhere from a two to three week wait on the replacement part.  I was also given the option to replace the motor with another brand.  I chose to replace the motor with another brand because last summer I waited two weeks to resolve the same problem.  This is a variable speed motor and apparently there are quality control issues with this model.  <br /> </blockquote> </blockquote> I was originally scheduled for Monday but decided to call the office for after hours service today August 10, 2013.  John scheduled me for a 2 to 4 o'clock time frame.  He finished earlier with other customers and actually showed up early to my house.  John went ahead and installed the new blower motor.  He also had to install a new 12.5 capacitor and relay.  I also asked John to install a surge protector on my unit.  I once had a thunderstorm take out an older unit.  I believe the time the labor took was at most an hour and a half.  John did all the necessary tests on the unit to make sure that it was operating properly.  He also checked for proper freon levels.  John is an excellent technician.  He is very courteous and professional.  He spoke to me in a very pleasant manner, and I really felt as a customer I was important to him.  As I'm typing this review my house is cooling down and I'm feeling much better than I was feeling yesterday.   <br /> Blanton's is a heating and air company that really values its customers.  I feel the company's staff really takes pride in customer service and does not take for granted the business they get from people in the surrounding area.   I really believe Tanya made me a priority customer Friday because of the nature of my problem.  I honestly felt that I was pushed to the front of the line in order to take care of my problem.  Tanya called me about three times Friday to keep me posted about the availability of the motor and what other options I could take.  I am a first time customer and I received A+ treatment.   <br /> Blanton's pricing is right within the range of the market.  All of your reputable companies are going to be in the same ballpark concerning costs of parts and labor.  I use to use an independent guy to do my heating and air and I can tell you that Blanton's pricing is in the same range as his costs.  The advantages of choosing Blanton's over the independent guy are  you can use a credit card if you don't have cash on hand or in your bank account for check writing and you get a technician out to your house much quicker than the independent guy I use to use because he is just overbooked for a one man operation.  <br /> It is customary that people get three or four quotes when searching for contractors.  I highly recommend that Blanton's be one of those companies you consult with.  I believe their customer service is top notch.  The technician who did work at my house was very skilled in his field of work.  The pricing is not gonna be some bottom of the barrel quote, but you will get a fair market price on the parts and labor.  I can say in closing that I would not hesitate at all in recommending Blanton's for your heating and air services.  <br />"

"I contacted Alexander Heating and Air to fix my water heater on Wednesday and they were scheduled to arrive on Friday. The team of two arrived on time with smiles on their faces. The heater's Pressure Reducing/Pressure Regulating Valve (PRV) valve was bad and caused my whole house water pressure to be very low. Also, I had excessive water trickling on the garage floor from the overflow pipe (due to a defective expansion tank. It’s the expansion tank’s job to take on this “extra” water caused by thermal expansion). Jeremiah, who did most of the talking explained what was going wrong with my heater, explained my options, provided an estimate, and explained that my specific water heater was about at the age that it will likely need replacing. It was good to know as I can now get my finances in order to eventually get a new one. He even explained financing options to me should I want a new heater and need financing. The two were friendly (did I mention Jeremiah is a Veteran), knowledgeable, worked quickly in the heat (they had to go under my house), and cleaned up and were finished in no time. The price charged was very reasonable, especially considering that I couldn't water the lawn properly, showers in house with low pressure was awful, water flow on garage floor would ultimately cause floor damage, and I didn't have to purchase a new water heater, yet. I really have had such good experiences with Alexander for several repairs they have made for me in the past, too My water pressure in the house is back to normal! I am more than satisfied with Jeremiah and the Alexander Heating & Air team."
