My prior A/C man had recently retired and I was scrambling.... reviewed Angie's List and made several calls. In several cases, I found myself as caller #10 in the queue. As a businessman I'm used to moving slowly, assessing, considering alternatives, etc. On this occasion there was no time, had to go with my gut. Mirsky Heat & Air really came through. They spent several hours (6-9pm) testing different options but ultimately found the compressor required replacement. They were able to return a day later and install the replacement. "It was easy to schedule the original consultation on their webpage, and Michael did a great job examining my house and explaining the work that would be done. The price was considerably less than the previous quote that I received, so I accepted it. The technicians installed the system over two days. The new low-profile condenser on my back patio doesn't take up much space, and it's a lot quieter than most that I've heard at other houses. There was an issue with the exhaust pipes and safety switch in the attic that required them to come out and make corrections a couple weeks after installation, but they corrected the issue promptly, and since then I've been enjoying my cooler house. Michael, Juan, and the others were very responsive and professional, and they didn't make any mess inside my house as the installation was done. They're definitely worth talking to if you need to add central air conditioning."

"Never having had air vents cleaned before I was a little unsure of how it actually worked and have nothing to compare this to.  I liked B very much, he was very helpful on the phone and while he provided the service.  He offered good suggestions and tips.  He seemed very professional, arrived when he said he would and finished an hour or so sooner than he thought he would.  He was responsive to questions before during and after and seemed to know what he was doing.  He did spend some time in his truck talking on the phone but I did not feel it impacted the service he provided.
The amount of dust raised by this activity drove me out of the house for over an hour.  We all developed bloody noses over the next few days although I ran the ventilating fan for well over two hours.  I am assuming that this is a normal part of having vents vacuumed out with a giant hose but I was not prepared for it!  I don't think that this was the fault of the service provider but it would have been nice to know before hand which is why I am posting this here.
The price was high but not out of the range of what other providers quoted to me and seems to me to be appropriate given other quotes.  I give $$ a B only because 3 days after I had the work done there was a deal for the same work for about $300.
