"Woke up this morning to my hvac leaking and contacted Markool. I have never used them before and was in a pinch. They fit me right in this morning and were out at my house within 2 hours. The tech stepped in the door and placed covers for his shoes so he did not track in any dirt which was impressive! The tech was very professional and super friendly. Problem was diagnosed and FIXED within an hour. The price was extremely reasonable to the point I was shocked in a good way (expecting a higher price). Anyways, I will most certainly be a returning customer. Thank you Markool Heating Cooling Plumbing."

"Very well. Was accomplished by working a 12 hour day. Minimal impact of water turn off ( a few hours only) and no electrical disruption. Great service in locating new unit in footprint of previous tankless hot water heater which drained into sump pump well. Heat is very efficient and does so much quicker than previous system which had no circulating pump and took up space at opposite end of the cellar. Purchased larger unit (only $200 more) since planning an expansion of one room addition which now has one radiator. Replaced old piping with multple shot off valves in the event another zone needs to be added in the future."

"Lynn responded to our urgent call and put us into the schedule the next day. A few years prior, he had installed an easy to use shut-off valve (that also limited peak pressure into the house) so that additional water damage could be limited. On arrival the next day, he found the water pipe between family room and bathroom and also inspected surrounding pipes. Wet areas (to include between the walls) have dried without additional damage, with one preventive repair to follow. Lynn knows what he is doing and prices are reasonable for what is needed. <br />"

"Great job by Rob at Stang. We had a leak in the ceiling and once the ceiling was opened, Rob found the leak in a pipe running above ductwork. He was able to cut away and repair leaking pipe in a very tough to get to spot. Knowledgeable, efficient, and clean."

"Rob Clem, the owner of Eire Plumbing, has done several projects for us, and we have been extremely happy with his work on each one of them. He: installed a new sump pump in an extremely tight fitting area at the bottom of an exterior stairway; replaced a water faucet regulator on two bathtub/showers; fixed a leaking toilet; and provided excellent advice helping us pick out replacements for our aging gas cooktop and kitchen faucet. Rob is an honest, sincere person who does excellent work. He is really knowledgeable and takes great pride in his work. He also proved to be very flexible when an emergency situation arose (a non-working sump pump with heavy rain on the way), and didn't let us down!"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Clarksburg, MD

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
