"We moved into new house and quickly found out the basement had major water issues due to years of neglect (including a clogged and poorly installed English drain from years ago, and a sump pump that while it worked, never pumped water.). Given the investment we made in buying the house, we wanted to make sure we left no doubt in our mind that we were fixing it for the long haul so we could use the basement without worry of mold/mildew for our kids. We had NV Waterproofing install perimeter wide gutter guards, and a new sump pump system and drainage pipes. As soon as the work was done we got rain, and for the first time in the 4 months since we have lived here I saw the water that otherwise would be in our basement actually in the rear of our backyard by the discharge pipe. We have had a few more rains and even one snow and there is nothing better to look at then when I see the water that is coming out of the discharge pipe that I know otherwise would be pooling in my basement and cynderblocks walls, and how that was the case for many years before we moved in. Also, the team that did the work was extremely professional. We have 3 kids and pets and the team was extremely courteous. We tried to stay out of their way during the week they were doing the work, however there were times when we couldn't and the team was extremely courteous and professional. The team lead did an amazing job of explaining to me the work he was going to do, showing me updates, and then afterwards explaining in detail what was done, why it was done, and things for me to look for for in the future. I would highly recommend NV Waterproofing to others based on my experience with them. They did high quality work and were extremely professional."

"We were looking into redoing our old deck and got a quote which we thought was reasonable for our large deck. Then for another estimate, we called 7th State Builders. They explained that for the same cost, we could get a paver stone patio (which in the long run is far less maintenance). The owner worked with our budget and the gentlemen who laid our pavers were extremely professional and worked within our wishes. They removed the deck and finished the patio in about a week. Awesome job! After a week or so, it had rain for a period of time and we noticed that a small dip in the patio was collecting a puddle. After a call, they came out and fixed the problem. We would definitely recommend this company for a patio."

"Before hiring LevelLift, I contacted a friend of mine who owns a Structural Engineering firm, but only work commercial not residential.  So after receiving at least (5) estimates, we agreed that LevelLift was the company to hire.    <br /> Met with Paul Mauer of Levelift Systems, he was very nice, patient and professional along with his team.  Received a proposal for the work noted below: <br /> The work in the basement  included but not limited too grout beneath concrete, excavate & installed timber walls, <br /> raise window well & installed standard home-improvement store grade cover, raise grade, furnished & installed discharge pipes for down spouts, installed seven steel beams, new interior drainage, repaired damaged mortar joints, installed 12" high cast-in-place concrete curb between steel beams and they took care of all the Montgomery County permits and inspections.  In addition, mobilization, site preparation and  furnished & installed discharge pipe for sump pump. <br /> In addition, Paul recommended a very good Structural Engineer to take care of the structural drawings. <br /> The contract payment terms were broken down into four payments with the option of using major credit cards and we have a ten (10) year warranty. <br /> Paul and his team were very responsive, punctual, and professional and the quality of the work was excellent.  We have not had any problems in the basement since 2013.  They are highly recommended. "Last year, we needed to replace our 60 year old concrete driveway, and got a few quotes from different companies. Bright (Steve in particular) provided a great, detailed quote, and was very knowledgeable and responsive to our questions, so we went with Bright. We are glad we did. The driveway turned out great. This year, we needed to replace a flagstone walkway and patio, and went with Bright again. Bright's construction team was meticulous, courteous, and responsive to our questions and requests. It was clear from watching Bright's masons work that they took pride in their craftsmanship. The patio and walkway look great."

"The serviceman from Apex Waterproofing inspected the areas that concerned me, and described some minor work that needed to be done but could be done by a handyman. He did not recommend any major work. His analysis of my 70 year old house was essentially the same as that of the Crackman. I was very pleased to get essentially the same responses from both companies and useful information."

"Kiras trimmed bushes and trees in yard and around the house.  Mulch was placed cleanly and evenly.  They edged where mulched, and looks clean and sharp.  We have several flower bed areas where they cleaned up, spruced up and made to look nice and presentable.  Front area of driveway he rearranged and made look very nice, did weeding and detailing.  Did great on the clean up, and now looks like a model home.  Not the least expensive, but by far the best landscaper I have used so far. <br />"

"BJ Global enterprises came highly recommended from a friend who have used them on a couple of projects. We reached out for a kitchen remodel and they were great and responsive at first. Their level of customer service was very good, great ideas and very good on guiding the customer through the steps of designing and planing a gut job of a kitchen. As the scope of the work got hammered out as well as the design it slowly went downhill and then showed complete lack of professionalism. We had asked them what they think a feasible start date was looking at their schedule and our lead time for plans etc. In late August they said they had us down for a Sept. 11th start date, we expressed that that was aggressive and figured it would move. The date had moved 2 more times (within reason but starting to feel like a pattern). <br /> All the materials (cabinets, appliances, lights etc) were chosen and final measurements needed to be done. This is where things seem to get hairy and communication drops....They now bring in a new cabinet designer, Elaine, who is lovely and had some great ideas. Elaine was to double check all the measurements. We found this odd since we were told initially that and quot;Elaine has moved onand quot;(a designer they had worked with in the past and spoke highly of in early talks). That was not a issue at the early stages. They had us work a designer from Lowes, which we were happy with. So the final measurements were done on a Saturday and by Monday or Tuesday the second designer came back with some fundamental design changes that we did not understand nor request. A new cabinet maker was now brought into the equation, and quot;Timberlakeand quot;. This is after all we were told by Azeez, was that Shenandoah is the best and easiest to work with and we picked out the cabinets over a month and a 1/2 earlier. <br /> We were then told because of our various changes on the cabinets that the target start date was now moving to Oct 21st. We felt like we were being jerked around a little. We sent a courteous email asking for their commitment that this target date will be our last - in that we will be sticking to it. <br /> Azeez responded saying that they were and quot;offended at the insinuationand quot; that they have been dragging their feet and then say it is best to go with another contractor. I truly feel they had another job that was more profitable and wanted to delay ours (which if discussed it could be ok but an expectation had been set by them and they failed to meet it). <br /> We truly found them to be promising and was excited to have them complete our kitchen but unfortunately their lack of professionalism has now caused a delay to a project that should be getting underway in less than 2 weeks."

"It was about two weeks of work, and the result looked better than when it was first installed. All was very professionally done. Only one issue was not resolved, and I do not hold them at fault. The concrete floor of the carport was heavily stained from oily substance that seems to embed itself into the concrete. They did everything that could possibly be done, and the next step would have been to remove the surface of the concrete and replace it. I told them they had done enough, and to stop. Most of the cost was covered by insurance, but with a substantial deductible."

FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in Cobb-island, MD

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
