They easily fit into a schedule that was best for me when I called and Howie was the plumber that arrived and was so very personable. He came with my new water heater and explained what he needed to do and installed it without any issues. He put tarps on my carpet and stairs and I think he gets credit for leaving my work area cleaner than when he arrived! He took my old heater (which was 35 years old and very heavy I’m sure) with him and the whole installation was a nonevent for me. "Called them on Monday morning because water heater was discharging. By early afternoon Jon showed up. Diagnosed problem to be related to very high water pressure (nearly 80 psi). Installed pressure reduction valve and pressure tank. I had called water heater manufacturer and this was the remedy they suggested so I knew Jon was doing what was recommended. However, within a few hours the tank again discharged lots of hot water. I called Jon and he arranged for a new control component to be sent under warranty by the manufacturer. Early Wednesday morning Jon installed the new component and we thought all was well. However Thursday morning found hot water flowing from the discharge pipe once again. Notified Jon and he returned and installed a new overflow valve. He also rigged up PVC pipe to direct water to the drain in the event it happened again. It has been over a week now and the water heater seems to be performing as it should. While I was not happy that it took multiple tries to fix the darn thing, I know Jon was following the recommended protocols and did so in a professional manner. He was very responsive and empathetic. He checked in with me numerous time to see if there we problems. He was genuinely interested in solving the problem and eventually did."

"This company has treated me well, especially Mike Museus, who worked over a year (last summer and this spring) to find out why there was a fluid leak in my new AC unit. The leak didn't affect the cooling of my home so I wasn't concerned, but Mike was persistent, even to returning finally with an "expert" to help diagnose the problem. What they found was that the A-coil above the furnace was full of tiny pinholes. On the day this was to be replaced, Steve came before 9 a.m. to remove the defective A-Coil and install the new one. He worked on it all day, without lunch or a break, leaving shortly after 5 p.m. There was no charge, as it was still under warranty. With all that, he still took the time to explain to me why the replacement was so important: that the defective A-Coil could eventually leak enough to damage the furnace below it. Because he was using solder, I believe, to install the new part, he turned on the ceiling fan in the adjacent room to mitigate the fumes. My only complaint is that a few of my vinyl floor tiles were damaged/discolored by the soldering process. That part of the flooring has had water damage before and is missing a few tiles so, after a day of hard work, he may have attributed the damage to work done before. It's not a big deal; I just wish he'd have said something. I have to hand it to Steve, though; he was working by himself, which frequently required him to leave the furnace area to check the outdoor AC unit, then rush back to the indoor work. I think it might have been a two-person job. At least, an assistant could have facilitated some of the work done."

"Jason showed up on time.  He worked quickly and efficiently and with great effort.  He communicated well, including what the price would be up front.  The problem was much more complicated than originally thought, and he might have gone slightly over the one-hour minimum charge, but he only charged me for one hour.  I would recommend them.  I sometimes get a gut feeling I am not getting my money's worth when having repairs done at the house, but this was NOT the case with SOS.  I felt like I was being treated very fairly, and dealt with honestly.

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."
