"Overall, I am not satisfied with Hastings and Sons Concrete and recommend using caution before signing any contract with this company. They agreed to perform the job as I requested, however throughout the process they changed how they performed the job. Examples: They still have not provide the diagram with measurement (depth, width, length, and location) for the four pillars they installed after several requests. Without this diagram, I do not know if the pillars are to code. They said they would use expansion joints and used none. Said they would use saw cuts and changed to control joints. Said the patio would be even with door ways, but during installation they said based on code they could not do what the sales rep agreed to. I had to identify that they did not use rebar in one section of the patio, then they added rebar after it was brought to their attention. I also identified that the gravel base was not hard compacted as the mobile dump machine was sinking into the gravel and got suck several times, however Mr. Hastings continued pouring the concrete anyway. I do not believe I saw the whole contract on the computer tablet; after signing, they printed me a copy so I could read the whole contract and I would not have sign or used this contractor if I had been able to read all the terms and conditions beforehand. Their brochure states a 99.9% customer satisfaction rate, after researching this company this does not appear true. The only positive thing is that they were quick to complete the job the next day, minus providing the agreed upon diagrams."

"Excellent work from start to finish. My father was a mason, so I know great work when I see it. First, they brought in a tear-down team to remove the chimney down to the first-floor roof level of our two-story house. After which, they rebuilt the chimney to original height installing approximately 900 new bricks using a new Type N mortar. They installed a new 5" thick concrete crown with a 2" drip edge and an expansion joint. They replaced all accessible sections of fireplace clay flue tile extending 4" - 6" above the concrete crown. Installed new stainless steel chimney cap. Installed 2 sets of new step and counter flashing. Installed 2 sets of new ice water shields and shingles as needed. Cleaned and weather sealed chimney entirely upon completion. After the chimney rebuild was done, the Mason, Seth, and his crew cleaned the work site, to include the whole driveway. They are a very efficient and thorough team. I understand that they like to leave the customer's house and yard as clean or better than they find it."

After speaking with several pool contractors, all of whom either did not win our trust or they simply never got back to us, we found this incredible team. Throughout our journey towards pool ownership, we encountered many people, several bids from local pool contractors, and many disappointments. We soon came to learn that Advanced Backyard Solutions is a family-run business, and that is the essence of how they treated us from start to finish and beyond, like family. Our job was extremely difficult, a pool on a steep incline that would require terracing. Frankly, we're not sure ours was their favorite job because of the extreme challenges of the hillside terrain, the same conditions that drove other contractors away, but every one of the crew associated with Advanced Backyard Solutions should be commended for outstanding work and detailed professionalism. From the initial design and visual/conceptual renderings, to ground-breaking, construction of the retaining walls, pool delivery, concrete work, electrical work, plumbing, the retractable safety cover, and everything in-between, Advanced Backyard Solutions delivered! They even attended a tricky permitting hearing to ensure our county zoning board had all of the facts to approve our build. The result has been nothing short of stunning, picturesque, and worthy of an award. "Hired to replace my existing plaster ceilings with drywall, replace the old blown insulation in the attic with batt insulation, install a new ceiling fan including wiring, and rewire an existing ceiling fan. Juan and his guys are efficient and professional. They always showed up in the estimated time frame. They cleaned up the work area every day before they left and cleaned up at the end of the project. Extremely pleased with the finished work. Jason, the owner, is very responsive to emails, texts, and phone calls. Kitchen ceiling was cracked and falling the day after the estimate and I called Jason and he sent Juan out within an hour or so to brace the ceiling to keep it from falling. This was before I had even signed a contract. He had absolutely no obligation to do that, but I extremely appreciate it. It saved me a mess and damage to deal with. Would absolutely hire them again in the future and highly recommend them."
