"Darwin came soon after we called and repaired three clogged bathroom sinks. This required climbing under our house in a crawl space and replacing 1957-era galvanized pipes and connections that were installed wrong originally with modern PVC pipe and connectors. He also had to work in a tiny basement utility room to make the same repair on a different drain. All this in only a few hours of one day. We were so impressed by our new friend's work ethic and abilities that we had him return two days later and replace our two old toilets with modern ADA-height efficient modern stools. He completed this including cleaning up and hauling off the old materials in one hour and forty minutes including time to patiently answer my questions and listen to my old grandpa stories of the days of yore. I give Darwin FIVE STARS for timely service, expert work, affordable prices and overall professionalism. Do not hesitate to call on Collins Drain Cleaning & Plumbing Repair for the work you need done to improve your home."

"While performing two small repair jobs, they discovered a much more serious problem, a pipe leaking into the basement, which had been going on unnoticed for a long time. They were able to return the following day and make the repair. I was extremely impressed with their professionalism, the quality of their work, and their pleasant dispositions. The jobs were done quickly and the cleanup was thorough. I will absolutely call Mayo Plumbing again if I have a problem, small or large."

"They could have completed the job completely. They took pieces of it apart but they did not put those back together. I had the son of the maintenance guy put them back together. I'm just complaining about the completion of the whole job but the quality, workmanship, and everything were fine."

"Ryan, replaced my shower trim because of leak, and replaced the old handheld shower with a double handheld shower head. I absolutely love it. Then he ran a water line and connection to my new dryer. Also, installed up to code galvanized steel flue. And replaced flange for toilet and reset the toilet, because of leak. Besides Ryan doing a fantastic job on my plumbing problems, he didn't leave any mess for me to clean up. Also, he was very professional with a great personality. I would definitely recommend Ryan to my family and neighbors for plumbing problems."

FAQs for faucets, fixtures and pipes repair or replace projects in De Soto, MO

A minor, easily accessible leak can be resolved in about three hours, while a large or hard-to-reach leak may take up to three days. If flooring or cabinets need to be built back, the timeline can run several weeks to cover material deliveries and installation. Every job begins with detection, proceeds to repair, and concludes with restoring your foundation’s strength.

Slab leaks are most common in areas where the ground is in motion, such as those prone to earthquakes or highly expansive soils. In places like California, constant shifting puts stress on foundations and pipes. Stay ahead of trouble by monitoring your water bill, inspecting visible slab edges, and scheduling routine inspections to catch leaks early and maintain your home's safety.

Keep an eye out for damp spots, rising water bills, the sound of running water when taps are off, or staining and sagging along the foundation. Check exposed slab edges during routine walk-arounds and note any uptick in indoor humidity or pest traffic. The moment something looks off, call a pro—fast action protects your slab and wallet.

Most policies cover slab-leak repairs tied to a covered event, such as earthquakes, severe storms, or a fallen tree. They often won’t cover gradual issues, such as root intrusion or corrosion-related pinhole leaks. Every policy is different, so be sure to contact your carrier for the fine print before any problems arise.
