"Olsen Tuckpointing Company did a brilliant job of cleaning & tuckpointing our 91-year-old brick bungalow. We are delighted with the results and highly recommend Olsen if you need any kind of brickwork done. It wasn't a huge job, but with the home being as old as it is, we were concerned about getting it done right. The brick exterior had quite a few old mortar patches and some washed-out sections, and over the years the walls had collected a wide assortment of paint stains, hardware hangers and old screw holes. The textured, tan brick also looked pretty dingy, although we weren't sure how much was the original color and how much might be accumulated dirt. The attached pictures show the after & before of dull brown bricks cleaned to a warm, clean gold. I didn't take closeups of the repairs, but I am impressed by how seamlessly the new work blends in with the older mortar. Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, prompt, and professional, and I have only good things to say about them all. The estimator was able to come out quickly after the initial contact, he did a comprehensive walk-though, and he provided a clear, reasonable, and detailed estimate in a timely fashion--along with an explanation of the whole process from start to finish, so we would know what to expect. The office staff was great about getting things scheduled and making sure we knew when the crews would be showing up, the crews introduced themselves on arrival, and they were all friendly, careful, and incredibly skilled. We are 100% pleased as can be & will certainly be calling Olsen Tuckpointing when next we need any masonry work performed."

"Well enough. There were some scheduling delays but nothing unusual. The quality of the workmanship on the tuckpointing seems good enough. The repairs were completed on time and within the agreed upon scope. The issue I have is the minor damage to a second floor coax cable line as it was torn from its anchors on the exterior brick. The workers did not seem to notice this, and it was left dangling off the front of the house, torn from the port. There was also a fair amount of mortar mix splatter on my fence, and a neighboring fence that I ended up cleaning myself. So the attention to detail and cleanup was not to my liking. They did clear my flat roof of leaf debris as I requested, which was really helpful."

The gas log set he recommended looks beautiful in our home and matches our decor perfectly. We LOVE it. He also painted the inside of our fireplace black, which looks amazing! No more sooty walls! His assistant installed a high-quality chimney cap with a lifetime warranty. We are very happy to have that taken care of to guard against rodents, etc., getting in the house through the chimney. Although the assistant threw the old chimney cap in the yard and left it there, we are overall extremely pleased with A1 Chimney. "Can't say enough good things about our experience with AAA-1 Masonry & Tuckpointing. We had two holding walls with brick that was deteriorating. They power washed to identify which bricks needed to be removed and swapped out those bricks with new ones. In addition they replaced the capstones on the two walls with larger capstones to provide the walls more protection from the elements. Everything was sealed and completed flawlessly. The crew was experienced and professional. Since the work was done this summer, our walls don't even get wet from rain! We are so grateful for the expert repair but also the guidance that replacing the capstones would provide more of a long term solution. Highly recommend these guys for your masonry needs."

"I just hired Edmar to replace a glass block window in our brick house with a more modern double hung window, and they did a great job! I've also hired them in the past to rebuild our parapet and replace other old windows and the work is always great. They're easy to coordinate schedules with and the quality of work is top notch. I'll definitely be hiring them again for any future masonry projects."

"I needed a new roof, and I called them first because they were at the top of the list. At first, I thought it just needed repair, so when I called them they said they didn't repair what they didn't install. Okay. When I talked to other companies, I realized I needed a complete tear off, so I called them back and got an estimate. When I compared them to the other roofers, their prices were in line but their contract really bothered me. They devoted about 1/2 of a page to tell me what they would do in summary form but proceeded to use about 2 - 3 pages of CYA which made me feel they were really trying to protect themselves as opposed to providing me with a good roof. This REALLY put me off because I have never chased the lowest cost. Also, they called me periodically to see if I still wanted the work done."
