"Found Sentri on Angi. Jeanette and Violet were very pleasant and efficient in getting a contractor to me in the time frame needed. The contractor was excellent and the roof looks great! I would definitely work with them again if I had additional projects."

"Job went great, Joe and Mike prepped rooms with plastic coverings and taped floors and walls off where necessary to keep over spray off everything. All cabinet doors and hinges removed and holes filled in and sanded prior to spraying. New doors, hinges, and drawers with soft close hinges installed and look amazing! Crew was awesome and would highly recommend."

"Richard is excellent! The only problem with Richard is that he is so busy that he still hasn't had time to get on my next project of levelling the floor, installing the heat strips and setting 500 sq ft of 6x36 ceramic tile. He's going to start that next weekend and I'm sure that I will be giving you another review. All joking aside, Richard is very professional. He has very good equipment which says knowledge and success. He priced the job low and still did several extra things that I asked him to do while he was there. He asked for no extra money. Being a business owner myself, I felt that the job was so well done that I increased the total by 30% and still felt that I was underpaying. (Update) First let me say that Richard is an outstanding human being. I would trust him with my wallet. He works very hard to please the Customer. We are doing a complete remodel of our guest house and so far Richard has done the entire bedroom. That includes sheetrock, tile floor, paint and trim. As I stated in the previous review, he did a great job hanging the rock and did it so cheap that I paid him extra. The tile in that bedroom, about 450SqFt., is 6" X 36" on a very unlevel concrete slab. He worked his butt off getting that tile down. It wasn't perfect but I don't think anyone could have done better with that very difficult tile job. So, the sheetrock and tile were very good but then came the painting. The painting was really bad. I think that he got behind his scheduling because of the high difficulty of the tile job and rushed the paint. He chose to spray the walls and there is overspray everywhere. He put down tarps but they mare really for brush and roller work, not sprayers. Paint also shows the flaws in the sheetrock finishing and there were more quite a few. Richard worked diligently trying to fix them. I actually felt sorry for him, paid him and let him get on to his next job. I have another painter coming in to repair the paint job and I am working nights with paint thinner to clean the tile myself. I would still use Richard on some projects now that I know his skill level. I just expected too much from a man that bills himself as a handyman. All that said, if you have any tile job, Richard is as good as any contractor out there. I don't want to cost Richard any work. I own my business and admit that I have high expectations from other self-employed businessmen."

FAQs for carpentry framing installation projects in Douglas, GA

Both steel and wood can last over 100 years with proper care. However, wood could rot or warp when exposed to moisture, whereas galvanized steel is rotproof, insect-proof, and much more fire-resistant. Steel is friendlier to the environment as it doesn’t require cutting down trees, and the frame can be recycled. The energy-efficiency rating of metal stud framing can be higher than conventional wood construction. Metal studs are easier and quicker to install.

Whether you’re using wood or metal stud framing, follow the “16 on center” rule, meaning you should have a stud every 16 inches. A 20-foot wall spans a total of 320 inches. This works out to 20 spans of 16 inches, plus one starting stud, for a total requirement of 21 studs to frame a 20-foot wall.

Drywall installation costs $1.15 to $2 per square foot on metal stud framing or $2,300 for an average 2,000-square-foot house. The total cost for metal framing and drywall ranges from $20 to $30 per linear foot. Metal frames often seem light, but they can be exceptionally strong once drywall or sheathing is attached.
