"On my initial communication with JHOSS PLUMBING, I really experienced a great rapport. I was very pleased with his ability to listen attentively, act quickly and his ability to make the necessary connections with the third party to ensure scheduling for the Generator Inspection. I applaud Jeff's quick action and his skills to perform the duties to get the job done. I highly recommend Jeff w/JHOSS PLUMBING SERVICES for Inspections of your gas line and making quick connections with third parties to meet deadlines. I give him more than the average of 5 starts because of the aforementioned. Well worth the money!! â ï¸ â ï¸ â ï¸ â ï¸ â ï¸ â ï¸ â ï¸ â ï¸ â ï¸ â ï¸ â ï¸"

"The office called me within 10 minutes of adding my request on Angi. There were able to come out same day and fix our drain. They also provided me with free plumbing inspection of the rest of the home. Zach was very profession and easy to work with. I would use them again."

"I had previously taken the truck to a Nissan dealer to have the check engine light diagnosed.  After they pulled the codes they seemed to have no idea what the issue was and wanted to charge me a second time for further diagnosis.  I just had some cracked belts replaced there and decided to have the major work done elsewhere.  Cox was able to easily determine that the knock sensor was bad and also found the cracked gas tank to be the source of the "evap gross leak".  The "random misfire" code was resolved by replacing the spark plugs and wires.  Some of the other work that was done was either suggested based on the mileage, or made sense to do at the same time other parts were replaced.  The staff was really friendly, knowledgeable and professional.  there was no pressure to do additional work and they called to update us on the diagnosis before the work was performed.  They use the manufacturer recommended parts (ie. platinum plugs in my case).  Some of the parts I needed had to be ordered from the dealer and Cox recognized that 2 of the parts recieved were incorrect for my vehicle before they were installed.  All in all I am thrilled to find a company that treats me the way they would want to be treated (thats their motto by the way)."

"I called Mr Matters at about 6:30PM and explained that we had water dripping from our kitchen ceiling, below our upstairs bathroom.  He arrived at the house within 1.5 hours and explained what he believed the issue to be and how much he believed it would cost to repair.   I agreed to the price (which was extremely reasonable) and he got to work. He repaired the leak, but it took much more work than anticipated because of the existing plumbing.   Though he worked for almost two hours, he did not ask for an increase in price and was very professional and courteous.  I would trust Mr. Matters to do any work in our home as he is very careful, explains what he is doing, and is honest and straightforward about what he is asking for labor and what he is paying for parts.   My family and I were so thankful that he 1) answered his phone after normal working hours 2) squeezed us into his schedule within minutes 3) arrived at our house and did a fantastic job.  Thanks Michael!   We will definitely use you for any plumbing work we have done in the future! <br />"

"I contacted Paul C Hayden and Sons after some unsuccessful attempts at getting a proper response from other contractors (two never returned my messages and another gave me a quote, but never called back to schedule a time despite my follow up). Mr. Hayden was extremely polite, professional and responsive. This really is a family business and two of his sons arrived promptly as scheduled to pump out the septic tank. They were very polite and knowledgeable young men. They provided great advice about proper maintenance and cleaning. Apparently in the past, other contractors had just pumped from a small and inefficient opening and wouldn't have fully been able to clean the tank nor inspect it. Paul C Hayden and Sons were able to do a thorough cleaning and inspection. They also recommended a different lid/access for the future which will enable faster and easier access to the tank. Even though they had to dig a little for the tank cover, they did not charge any more than other contractors and they spent at least twice the time cleaning and pumping than previous ones have done. Very happy with the service and will definitely use them again - in fact we've asked for an annual contract. Highly recommend!! <br />"

"The guys came in on time, and finished the job in about 35 minutes. They charged me $300 for the job, including $180 for labor and $120 for parts (an 8 inch copper pipe). Not very happy with their price. I Do Not Recommend them."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Dowell, MD

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
