leaking for years. Various workmen had poured concrete into it, slathered mortar
between stones and sprayed special waterfall foam all over the sides of it. My
pond, stream and waterfall continued to leak. Hilary of Backyard Ponds looked at it for a while, moved one
stone and fixed the leak. How did you do that! I yelled. Well after you work on
enough of these things you get an eye for what the problem could be. Then she
vacuumed all the mud that had been clogging the pum , reattached the waterline
and pump that I could never get to stay together, restacked the rocks along the
edge of the stream so they actually sat on top of each other instead of sliding
down at all angles, and added a few strategically placed rocks to hide the pump
and waterline and cover the rubber sides of the stream. She added a regulator to
the water line so I could make the water run fast and slow. And more. I have had
a pond and stream for fifteen years, and many people have worked on it, from
expensive professioanl landscapers to guys I would swear the contractor picked
up off the street corner. The difference in using someone who specializes in
ponds is stunning. Backyard ponds is

"Mr. Wilburn's crew showed up on time Thursday to rake my leaves.  They had to reschedule when the weather turned unfavorable in the middle of their work.  The crew returned Friday as promised to finish the work.  Since I was at the office that, I could not hand them the check in person.  Mr. Wilburn let me mail it.  My contractor was in the house that day take care of a project and commented that the crew did an excellent job.  I inspected the results afterwards and agree.  Mr. Wilburn's company will be back next year to mow my lawn and take care of my other landscaping needs.

On top of being a Takoma Park local, and an all around friendly, honest, business owner, we also came to learn that he does great work as well! His team completely transformed our hardscape areas, including installing a beautiful flagstone walkway and patio, a perfectly graded cement driveway, iron railings on our steps, and plants in a number of locations. On top of that, some of the work required some touch up and sealing and Jesse and his team have come out a couple of times later this spring to do that work unprompted. There's a little bit left, but I know they'll be around to finish it as they've taken care of us every step of the way. Even better, everything was done in budget. Look no further! "Hired them in April 2019 to level and reseal patio pavers with polymeric sand. Job looked okay at first, but shortly several voids starting showing in the sand and some pavers started to settle, which is not unusual or unexpected. Sent them pictures at their request and they said they would return and repair the problem areas. I marked the voids and uneven areas with tape to make it easy for them to locate the voids. I also asked that they call to schedule the repair so that I could be there. After over 2 months of inquiries and waiting, someone showed up when we weren't home and did the repairs. Some additional voids have since appeared. If they had come when I was home as requested, I would have simply asked for them to leave a little poly sand so I could fix an additional settling without having to bother them."

"Steve came to consider the problem and give me an estimate. He seemed very thoughtful and sincere. We agreed on the price and the date when work would start. With no delays, the work started on the agreed-upon date. Steve's brother Dave does the actual deconstruction and puts in the drainage. He has a team of three men, including himself, and they completed the job in 3 days. It may have been the hottest 3 days of the summer but they didn't complain--I couldn't believe how diligent they were. And they didn't "thrash." We've probably all had people working on our homes that made us wonder if the house was going to be standing when they were through. These guys were great--I'd definitely call them professionals. Once they finished, I had a couple items I wanted done a different way. That was no problem. They came back and finished it very much to my satisfaction. Whenever I called the company, I received a call back. I would definitely use Waterproofing, Inc. again but I think my problem is solved. I'm not worried because the company gives a lifetime warranty and I have no doubt that they will stand behind their word.
