Steve is a highly reputable person and explains things easily for people not in the Heating & A/C industry. He is very straight-forward with his quote and doesn't try to pressure or scare you into purchasing something you do not need. Their 10-year labor warranty is also very impressive, and they stand behind their work. A couple of weeks prior, they were able to take a look at my old furnace right away despite having tons of calls due to the first cold snap of the year. The furnace install only took about three hours and was smooth as can be. The installer took great care in making sure floors were protected when hauling equipment in and out of the house. He also made sure to repair some ductwork that extended off the furnace. My suggestion is to make sure you call Home Comfort Systems if you need service or replacement of your furnace and/or air conditioning."

"The thing you dread the most -- A/C not working in the summer on a weekend! I called the company who had last serviced our A/C only to find out they no longer serviced our area so I came to Angie's List to find an alternative. We'd used Lifeline in the past for a shower repair that we were really happy with so I sent an email asking for the soonest appointment during normal business hours. Within 15 minutes we received a phone call that the tech could come out on a Saturday at no additional charge. The diagnostic fee was $79 but would be applied toward the repair if we chose to do it the same day. The technician arrived in the time frame specified, took a look at the A/C and gave us an estimate. It was a reasonable estimate so we proceeded with the work. He completed the repair and inspected the rest of the A/C system. He told us that we could purchase a maintenance plan (which I already had read about on their website) as well."

Porterhouse Heating & Cooling came out that day, replaced the shut-off ball valve, and tested the system after the repair was complete.
