"I received 3 estimates for replacing just the pump motor or to get a new motor and pump as recommended by Pete.  His bid was a bit higher than the other two, and just for the combined system.  I'm glad I went with that as he found another problem with the old pump after replacing it that would have created a problem later.   Pete also fixed some sensors that had been causing intermittent problems due to cracks in the wires.  The diagnostic visit, ordering of the parts and the installation went quite smoothly and the system has worked perfectly for nearly a year since we had the work done.  I would recommend Pete very highly to anyone who wants to have confidence that their pool equipment is in good shape.
