"This was amazing! I had no idea this service existed. After searching and contacting various repair places for my washer, this was the most cost effective option. I figured if it didn't work, my machine is old and I would be out $40, not the $100+ to have a tech come out and just diagnose the problem. I am pretty handy and my washer is old anyway, so if it is broken, I have to get a new one anyway. My tech, Steve, was great! He predicted what was wrong after listening to the machine, calmly walked me through dismantling the machine and when we got down to the motor, he was right! He sent me a link to the part I would need, and let me know to contact them again if I needed help installing it. My machine works even better than before it broke, its beautifully quiet and efficient. I will definitely be saving this company for any future repairs on appliances I may need. The service was $40 + the part cost, which was about $8."

"Tyler was very prompt and answering my request to remove some trim from my kitchen cabinets because of a leak from the bathroom above it. He listened when I asked if he could come sooner, he replied quickly and was here the same day, even though it was just a small job. "Mr. Tegge could not have been nicer,  he arrived just as he said he would to give me an estimate.  He spent considerable time answering my questions and discussing my roof and it's long term maintenance.  I have had the pleasure of working with him before and this time was no exception.  When his team arrived to work on the roof, gutters and power washing they were courteous and did a beautiful job.  My house looked like it had just been painted.  Every thing had been cleaned up and looked wonderful.It is a pleasure to work with him and I do not plan on contacting anyone else for any renovations or repairs I may need in the future.  As we are new to the area it is a pleasure to have met someone who is trustworthy and capable.Thanks again!"

"He did not fix it the first time, and I called, it took new parts and he came, I mean they were very prompt, very responsive and he came back.  There was not a service charge the second time he came back and we went through the whole thing again with a new part and he determined what the problem was, but then it was still acting up and I called and left a message and the owner got back to me.  The owner said here's what I want you to do, please use the oven, try baking with it and then monitor the temperature.  He said if it's still acting up you call me and I'll come out myself.  So they were extremely responsive.  I have no idea, because I don't know what the costs run these days.  I mean, I couldn't buy a new stove for that, but. He spent a good deal of time, he was not, it wasn't I need to install these parts and run out of your house.  He explained to me everything he was doing, he explained what was happening with the oven, he explained the heating procedure.  I mean, I learned a lot."

"My dryer stopped spinning, after I heard a thump.  I figured it was a belt.  Called  ACE appliance repair on Monday after checking reports on Angie's list; gave "John" the make & model # of my dryer, so that the repair person would have the proper belt with him.  .Set up an appt. for today (Wednesday)between 10 am & noon.  At 12:30. when no repair person was here or called. I called the company.  The person I spoke with was apologetic, said the tech was running late, & would be here at 2:00.
At 2:00pm  "Joe " appeared as promised, & promptly replaced the dryer belt
The reports on Angie's list quoted a much lower price, so I was surprised at the fee. $90.00 service call, & &20.00 for the part..  I had to use a credit card as I never keep much cash around.  I'm glad Joe was willing to accept that form of payment. 
It tied up most of my day, & I had to cancel plans, but all is well, & my dryer is now functional.

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."
