"Bob Jenson's HVAC has serviced 4 of my homes since 2006. They have always been extremely conscientious, whether they were installing or servicing. I have chronic health issues which requires the air I breath to be as clean as possible. They found the perfect system for my needs. Keeping the system serviced every 6 months is a must for me. A typical service isn't good enough for my lungs. Over the past 5 years, Jeremy Zavala has painstakingly incorporated the perfect routine to ensure that my system is completely dust, mold, bacteria and VOC-free, so as not to effect my health adversely. Bonus, he's extremely nice and trustworthy! Actually, everyone in the entire company is nice and trustworthy. I wish all companies had the same ethics. Zero stress, with top notch service!!!"

"Yes. Billy said everyone was great on install date. Omar was helpful and communicated effectively. Team worked well together and were efficient. Team was respectful of our property and cleaned up after work done. All of the team members being available was excellent to get install in one day. We hopefully will enjoy the benefits of the insulation and all went as anticipated with install. Very glad we had it done. Leo was excellent with pre install quote and arranging for install. We got a few quotes . We paid highest quote to have the work done quickly which met our needs. Thank you for the excellent service"

Using a snake we can go through the cleanouts on the side of the house.
With the cleanouts snaked, and the blockage located, we can send the hydro jet through the sewer vent and flush out the blocked drain.

"Excellent work.. AirTime replaced all ducting in a 25 year old home, and installed three HVAC systems. At my offices they replaced all ducting in a 30 year old building, and replaced three HVAC systems. At my beach property, they replaced ducting and installed new HVAC system. And at a rental property they replaced ducts and installed a new HVAC unit. In addition, they maintain all systems. All excellent."

"My AC's secondary drain was leaking due to a clogged primary line. Daryle from Cool Air quickly identified the issue and cleared the clog under the master bathroom sink — about a gallon of water came out instantly. The final charge was a bit more than quoted, but Daryle was honest, efficient, and didn’t try to upsell anything. After bad experiences with Service Champions — who I believe sabotaged my system — working with Cool Air was a relief. Vadim, the owner, was also great to talk to. I’ll be using them again."

FAQs for swamp cooler installation and replacement projects in El Cajon, CA

Swamp coolers are quite energy-efficient, using only 15% to 35% of the electricity that traditional central air conditioning units consume. This can lead to significant savings on your energy bills. However, keep in mind that swamp coolers require water to operate and may not cool your home as effectively in extremely hot or humid conditions. When considering overall efficiency, it is essential to weigh both electricity and water usage, as well as the cooling needs specific to your local climate.

Evaporative coolers only work in dry climates because they cool by moistening the air. If the air is already moist, this will have little to no cooling effect. Central AC is a better choice if you live in a humid climate, such as the Midwest, eastern, or western coastal regions.

To install a swamp cooler on a roof, a local HVAC specialist will first find and cut a spot free of wiring and obstructions. They’ll then install metal bracing, legs, brackets, the ceiling duct register, ductwork, power, and thermostat wires. Once installed, they’ll seal all openings, attach duct connections, and install a thermostat. Before leaving, they’ll run cool water piping to the unit and inspect all the connections.

The cost to repair your swamp cooler ranges from $50 to $600, depending on the issue, whether new parts are needed, and the chosen repair service. Depending on the type of pad your system uses, you will need to change out the pads every one to three years for proper operation. When budgeting for the cost to repair a window unit, expect to pay around $230.

The U.S. Department of Energy states that swamp coolers can cool a single room by five to 15 degrees Fahrenheit. However, this largely depends on the size and installation method of the evaporative cooler. You can only achieve these results in a dry climate, such as the American South, as it’s easier to cool rooms in humid environments with central air.

Swamp cooler water usage varies depending on the size of the unit. Smaller evaporative units may use one gallon per hour, while much larger units could use up to 15 gallons of water per hour. Most homeowners can expect their unit to use between seven and 10 gallons of water per hour of usage.
