"Our kitchen drain leak escalated to replacement of the entire drain line from back of the house to the street sewer line! Danny and his crew were very good at explaining why each additional length of pipe was required (including showing video of the pipe interior and the actual deteriorated pipes on removal (50 year old cast iron drain pipes for the most part)."

"Ruben and his assistant were awesome. They called to let me know when they were on the way, replaced the kitchen faucet, added stops for water flow under the sink, and replaced the pipes that had developed leaks. If there was a grade above A, they would definitely get it. The area where they worked was completely cleaned up, and their work was very neat and efficient. I expected to pay much more than I did. If you ever need a plumber, look no further."

"I have used Maddox plumbing for 10 years. They have always been very reliable and courteous. However, when things do not go perfectly that is when you can tell the true quality of service. I recently had an evaporative cooler installed. The technician did not install a new roof jack and stand for the new cooler. When I notified Maddox, they responded the next day and said that they would take care of this. They had a new stand and jack built and delivered it to be installed at no additional charge. I highly recommend them."

"It went great! They know what they are doing and got right to the problems . They were able to find the problem and fix it quickly. I had another plumber tell us how the tile around the tub faucet would have to be broken and how the estimate was almost $500 for this project when Casa Plumbing took care of it very quickly without breaking any tiles. I paid $300 and this was for two projects including opening a wall."

"Gas leaks were resolved. <br>Slow drain issue was improved but was not fully resolved; however, the price was discounted accordingly and we were referred to another service provider that had the necessary equipment to complete the job. <br>Everything was explained to us in detail. <br>We have been satisfied customers of Sun City for several years for their HVAC service. This is the first time that we have used their plumbing service, and were pleased to find that it is also very good. <br>"

"We had a gas leak in our water heater which was verified by Texas Gas Service.  We called Pronto Plumbers and they immediately came to our house and fixed the problem, updating our gas lines to the modern specifications.  The gentleman corrected several problems which had been left by a previous amateur plumber on the water heater.  Pronto Plumbers' guy was 100% professional and acted with great courtesy.  I have total confidence in their work."

FAQs for gas piping projects in El Paso, TX

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
