"Ray quoted a replacement natural gas steam boiler at a price well under what both Boston Standard and Sila quoted me. Well under meaning close to 20% less. Ray is very responsive by phone and he shows up when he says is going to. Ray had done maintenance on our old boiler prior to this complete replacement. He actually performed maintenance on our old steam boiler, unlike when Boston Standard and Sila did maintenance they would simply turn it on and made sure it fired up. When Ray came and did maintenance after the 4 years we had both Boston Standard and Sila maintain our boiler he disassembled and cleaned out the incoming piping, replaced the glass water tube level, added a skimming drain, skimmed the boiler, etc. The prior 2 companies never did that level of work and it was in bad shape. In addition, not many technicians have knowledge of steam boilers these days even though they are still quite common in New England homes. Back to the new replacement boiler that we just had completed. Ray did a fantastic job on the installation. I really couldn't ask for better service. He was timely and efficient (we had our heat back on the same day), explained everything thoroughly (usually multiple times for my benefit) and has called and come back to check on everything a couple times since the installation. He's really gone above and beyond. We have 1-pipe steam radiators and he understands the intricacy of steam quite well. Ray also did all the plumbing when we had our kitchen renovated. He was our contractor's choice for a plumber (which is how we found Ray) which gave him that extra credibility knowing other professionals use his services. I would not hesitate to use Ray again in the future and recommend him to everyone."

"A and quot;check engineand quot; light came on in my car, and I had seen that Hometowne Auto adverised that they did free diagnostics. After looking into it, they told me that there could be an issue with the gas tank venting system. Normally, that means one of the components to the system isn't working properly, but they said the code could have been tripped if I leave my car running when I gas up (which I do regluarly). They cleared the code and told me that if it stays out, then I am all set. If it comes back, then there may indeed be a problem with the system. I was so impressed with how they handled it. They could have told me that the system needed work, but they didn't. Two weeks later, I stopped by because my brakes were making noise, and I had them replace my front brakes at a very reasonable price. They gave me a ride home and then picked me up when the job was done. Then, a week later they called me to make sure the brakes were okay. I don't know of any other service shop that has this combination of honesty, convenience and price. They just seem to care. I am very impressed. <br />"

"Very prompt - in fact arrived earlier than the time window given! <br /> We had a list of several things that needed to be done.  A new kitchen faucet installed, two leaks from an upstairs bathroom fixed and a leaky downstairs toilet.  He did the kitchen faucet and leaky toilet quickly and efficiently.  In addition, he took the time to inspect the upstairs bathroom and determined one leak was most likely from cracked caulking, not internal pipes leaking. The second leak was an upstairs toilet seal that needed to be replaced. Easy and inexpensive fixes in both cases when I had been worried they may be expensive and difficult. <br /> Very prompt, very professional, explained how the leaks had happened and what he needed to do to fix them.   <br /> So happy to find a plumber I trust. <br />"

"Jeff did a great job. We hired another plumber initially, but he couldnt finish the job in over a month. Jeff came in, assessed the work completed thus far and corrected the mistakes from the other plumber. All in all, he re-did the plumbing, connected our gas stove, added new toilets, and made sure it all passed inspection. He kept us in the loop the entire time and gave some great suggestions/ideas for future items. I pass his name along any time a get a chance!"
