"Called Burke and Sons to replace a ruptured how water heater, they were prompt in getting over but not much else was good. Two very young guys came over and did the work. They were not very professional but the job got done, so I didn't really care. I never really check the area where the heater is, and today I was in that closet and it's a mess. One of the vent pipes seems to have a leak and there is a bit of mold on the floor underneath the tank. The previous tanks in that spot had been there for almost 20 years with no such issues. Also, since it was urgent, no hot water, I didn't get prices which was also a mistake. My neighbor (condo complex) needed a new tank about a month later but got prices before having the work done and paid about 850.00 for the exact same setup that cost me 1150.00. I actually ran into the guy bringing his tank in and I stopped to talk to him and he was amazed at how much I paid, and asked if there was an office where he could leave his card. He figured he woud get a lot of business, being that much cheaper."

"The plumber surmised that the clog was at the T junction with the vertical pipe in the wall and was unsuccessful at getting his snake to go downward after entering from the bottom of the trap. He failed also with an air hose. As he left, he offered to replace the T junction with a Y junction for $285. I subsequently called out another Angie's List plumber, so attacked the problem successfully by removing the trap and snaking downward about 15 ft to the clog. He replace the trap with one that is removal, allowing a snake easier access. This cost $300. I'm still unsure whether replacing the T junction with a Y junction would have solved the problem."

Russel does the work and he's truly a perfectionist. The final work he did looks like a work of art. He's also very nice to talk to and never impatient if you have questions about what needs to be done. He is efficient, thorough, and cleans up in the end. Mike follows up with us even after the city inspection to remind us to install gas monitors. We would definitely use them again for our future gas and water plumbing needs and would eagerly recommend them to all of our friends. Too bad Angieslist doesn't let me use A+++ to differentiate them further!"
