"Tammi and Earnest really saves this pool. They gave a real price making me feel that I was not being taken advantage of. There were supply chain delays but Tammi was there to keep us in the loop, telling what was going on. Earnest and his team worked hard! Even on the hottest days of June . For any Pool issue, I tell everyone to start here!"

"We had a inground pool installed this past year by Chad Zaber construction The planning, the workmanship and finished product were nothing short of outstanding. All deadlines were met or exceeded, which is a very rare thing to happen in todayâ  s world with a shortage of labor. Chad laid out a plan, communicated the plan and delivered. I would highly recommend Zaber construction for any inground pool or any other construction projects that he does. Chad is a rarity in todayâ  s unstable contractor world. Also the follow up throughout the summer and through the closing on the pool was outstanding. Chad had great follow up and answers any questions that we needed throughout the season. "Since moving into our new home we have experienced so much financial hardship due to poor maintenance from old owners. Extensive plumbing required after basement flooding and remodeling of entire basement. Pool didn't even have a liner in it even though previous owners claimed there was a new one and it was well maintained. The inspectors for the pool said it had probably sat uncared for at least 15 years. Pump was totally shot and inside pool was all corroded. We plan to use this company as soon as we can get the funds together. We have raised 9 grandchildren for the past 11 years due to the death of their parents and we still have 5 living with us. Finances are very rough for us at this point in time. Just praying the pool will not become a mosquito nest for the summer. Thank you for your assistance with the referral. Arthur and Betty Straka"

FAQs for swimming pool covers installation and replacement projects in Elyria, OH

The lifespan of automatic pool covers varies by component. Cover fabrics require replacement every five to six years, costing between $2,000 and $5,000, depending on size and material quality. Mechanical elements like motors function for five to ten years before needing replacement at $450 plus labor. The tracking system and housing unit can last considerably longer with proper care. Scheduling professional maintenance one to three times yearly at $150 to $200 per service helps maximize the operational life of all components.

While automatic covers require a larger initial investment, they provide significant advantages that often justify the premium. The convenience of one-touch operation encourages more consistent use, maximizing energy savings that can reach 50% to 70% on heating costs. The enhanced safety features, reduced chemical requirements, and decreased water evaporation deliver ongoing operational savings. These benefits outweigh the higher upfront expense for households that use their pools frequently.

Most existing pools can be retrofitted with automatic covers, though rectangular shapes accommodate them more easily than custom configurations. On-deck track systems offer the most straightforward installation for existing pools since they require minimal structural modifications. Recessed track systems necessitate more substantial deck alterations but provide a cleaner appearance. A professional assessment is essential to determine which system best suits your pool's specific layout and structural characteristics.

Proper maintenance includes promptly removing standing water and debris to prevent excessive weight on the cover. Use manufacturer-approved cleaning solutions for periodic washing according to recommended guidelines. Keep tracks clear of dirt and obstructions that could cause alignment problems or motor strain. Professional servicing one to three times yearly allows technicians to inspect mechanical components, lubricate moving parts, and make necessary adjustments before minor issues develop into major problems requiring costly repairs.
