"I have a service contract with these folks as I have done business in the past with them. After the service I asked Chris about an idea I had to try and repair my sprinkler system, he asked if he could take a look at it, said I have a better idea how to repair this. Gave the go ahead and came back the nest day and ask me to wait 24 hrs. before pressurizing system so the joint on the dissimilar materials had time to properly cure. (PVC to copper) Said no problem I will do that. When I did pressure up system had a pin hole leak, called and was informed Chris was booked for rest of the week, could they send someone else out. Sure, no problem. Well Valentin showed up promptly this morning, made a few adjustments and I am back up and running. The great thing about this Company and their employees, no haggle, didn't try and charge me for additional service call!! Which a certain company with orange trucks would have stuck it to me. Great people and company to do business with. "

MyBath Colorado is a smaller local bathroom remodeling company that offers higher end, quality product without the price tag of the big remodel companies. We offer bathroom remodels, which ranges from tub and shower replacements, tub-to-shower conversions, safe showers, and more. We are local families serving local families. Our reputation over thousands of projects completed is built on service, safety and quality, built for you. This is your house, your family, your bath.
"I contracted with them for a shower installation in August and told them I was going to be out of town for the entire month of September and was assured the installation could occur then. I was told the installation would take a max of two days. They did not schedule the installation until late October. The crew worked for two days and left with it half finished. They came back a week later and finished the non-glass portion of the installation, but told me it would take one to two weeks to order the door. I had not been told that before. it took three weeks. So I could not use my shower for a total of a month. The door installation leaks around the base. I have made five requests for someone to fix this, with vague promises they will look at their schedule, but no visit has actually been scheduled. The quality of the work looks fine (other than the leak). But I would not have contracted with them had I known I would be without a shower for month or they were going to be nonresponsive for necessary repairs."

"BUYER BEWARE: This company promises that they can handle the $800 Xcel rebate for installing a heat pump water heater, but have been unable to actually do so. In total, using this company cost us AT LEAST $1,050 over what we would have paid with a different installer. Explanation of where I got the $1,050 number (read on if ye be brave): When I first reached out to this company, they sent over Dan. Dan is great -- he has a good sense of humor, he speaks the lingo well, and he's quick to say yes to any questions (which in hindsight should have been a red flag). Questions like whether the company could handle the rebate offered by Xcel for heat pump water heaters. Questions like whether his company could hook up the water heater if there was a junction box nearby. He mentioned that they don't have electricians on staff, but that he could put me in touch with 'his guy' to set up the electrical before they installed the water heater. And here should have been red flag #2. Dan's 'guy' never responded. In fact, Dan didn't even send me the contact details -- I had to reach out to the All American Drain Cleaning office to get a number for a person that didn't reply. No problem; it's the modern day, and Thumbtack is a thing. I was able to find an electrician to install the new junction box within a few feet of the water heater. Cost for that was $566 (which I'm not including in my $1,050 number). Day of the install. A new installer comes over. Removes my old water heater, installs the new one. Everything is going well until he shows me what he's done. "Gee," I say. "It sure doesn't look like the water heater's been connected to that shiny new junction box over there." At which point he tells me that this company cannot connect electrical wiring. Fam. Fam. Now I would ASSUME that these people install a lot of water heaters. We went with the water heater that THEY RECOMMENDED. So why in the seven hells did they not inform us that we would need to bring in an electrician after the fact to actually wire the darn thing in? ESPECIALLY given that this left us in a position of either: finding an electrician to do emergency/day-of work, or going without hot water until we could find someone. We were able to find an electrician. But -- whereas the first electrician mentioned they would have thrown in the work for free if they'd been out there -- this rush job ended up setting us back another $250. Oh golly, you can bet that $250 makes it into my final $1,050 number. And by the way, I spoke with the installer to ask why he wouldn't at least tell us about the need for an electrician before he removed the PERFECTLY GOOD AND WORKING water heater, and he said it was easier to do his work without possibly rubbing elbows with an electrician. Ok, so water heater installed. Electrical wired up. It turns on and everything seems to be going alright. But here comes the real kick in the shins -- heat pump water heaters are expensive, so we'd like to get the paperwork for that Xcel rebate moving. I've called their office goodness knows how many times, but have yet to hear a peep about actual progress on the rebate paperwork. That's $800 I'm basically giving up on at this point. $800 + $250 = $1050. Thanks for listening to my TED talk."

Yes, flushing washes out the sediment that would otherwise coat heating elements and build up along the tank walls. Clearing that gunk keeps water heating evenly, lowers energy use, and helps the unit last longer. In short, a quick flush keeps your heater running at peak efficiency instead of fighting through layers of mineral sludge.
Plan on a full flush once a year. If you live with hard water—or hear rumbling inside the tank—step it up to twice yearly. Sticking to that schedule scrubs out sediment, keeps hot water flowing, and shields the heater from premature wear. Regular flushing also wards off surprise repair bills and helps the unit run more efficiently day-to-day.
Listen and look for clues: popping or banging sounds, cloudy or rusty water, lukewarm showers, moisture around the drain valve, or a sudden spike in energy bills. Any of these signals point to sediment hogging space inside the tank and choking heat transfer. A thorough flush clears the buildup, restores steady temperatures, and helps the heater run smoothly for years to come.
