"I contacted Bluestar Air Mechanical for a second opinion after an appointment with Air One. I have a Carrier HVAC system, and the Air One technician recommended a complete system replacement, claiming the blower was bad, the furnace control board needed replacing, and that there were other issues. Since replacing the HVAC is a big investment, I wanted to get a second opinion. It was only after comparing the service from Bluestar that I realized Air One may have been pushing for a new system sale or lacked the expertise to properly diagnose and repair the actual problems. Isaac, the technician from Bluestar, spent about an hour thoroughly diagnosing and fixing the issues. He found burnt wiring in the furnace and discovered that the wrong capacitor had been incorrectly installed in the AC. Isaac replaced the burnt wiring in the furnace and the capacitor in the AC. After these repairs, my Carrier system was back up and running—without the need for a costly replacement. Bluestar, and Isaac in particular, demonstrated professionalism, expertise, and honesty. "Our AC died last week and the first company provided us 3 replacement options. We selected the middle option ($16,000) and signed the contract, which provided us a 5 day cancellation period. Installation was scheduled for Friday. I solicited other companies quotes using the estimate provided by the first company and all declined stating I needed to schedule an appointment for someone to come out to take measurements, etc. Our inside temperature was 98 degrees. Advanced Environment Solutions provided us an unbinding estimate of $9,600. a better warranty and immediately dispatched a technician to take measurements and install a portable AC unit until the new one could be installed. Our unit was installed Friday. What a bunch of professionals! The team arrived at 6:30 am and were done by 11:00 am. "I called to get an inspection done on my AC unit and was quoted $90 for the inspection plus $120 an hr for ADDITIONAL hrs. I ASKED when do I know when the “additional hrs start”, He stated that the tech would let me know once the inspection was done and then at that time he would let me know if there was work that needed to be fixed or if there was nothing then the service would end and I would only have to pay the $90. They charged me $210 for the inspection. I called and requested that we both listen to the call (Because all calls are recorded) They played the call, heard what the rep said and then stated they would get back to me. When I finally reached them again (they never called me back), they stated I would not get a refund, then replayed the call cutting out the part when the rep stated clearly that the service was only $90. They not only GASLIGHTED me, but they altered the recording. $120 may not matter to most but it sure matters to me."
