"All they were interested in was selling new a furnace and air conditioner. ?They put in the wrong Freon.? They overcharged the unit and it leaked out all over. The system kept shutting down.? ?Another company came out and said everything was fine but it was because of the wrong Freon.? We had previously used them for 10 years. ?The technician that was good has retired. They read my review and refunded my money and apologized for everything."

"Meineke was quick, but it was also more painful than I expected it to be as far as price is concerned. Everything was done as scheduled and apparently correctly. My wife hasn't told me her car is doing anything she doesn't expect so I would say it is working correctly."

"I cannot say enough about how pleased I am with the service I received. Spire shut off my gas service I contacted at least three other companies and none of them would be able to get to me for two or three weeks. Chris from Vogel responded the next day by 21:30 AM. He assessed the situation and said he would be back the next day and would be bringing someone with him to help. He wasn’t sure if he would be able to get the job done by Friday afternoon but he stuck with it until it was complete. Unfortunately Spire said there were still issues. I called the company Friday evening and they made several notifications. Chris called me back and told me he would be back Saturday morning at 9 AM. He even showed up 15 minutes early made the necessary repairs and stuck around until spire showed up for the inspection. When I need a new furnace/AC I will definitely be contacting them. Thanks to everyone at Vogel who helped get my gas service turned back on. Everyone I spoke to was very kind and willing and anxious to help me."

"I called, and it turned out they didn't have a location open yet where the website said there was one, but they reimburse some for towing, so that helped. They were the only shop that could take me right away, so I basically picked them by default.||Bottom line: They did a good job with the repair, took only slightly longer than  originally estimated, and charge a high, but not unreasonably high amount. If I were in a bind again, I'd use them. If I had more time, I'd probably look around for somewhere cheaper."

"<p>The project was delayed first because I had to secure the loan and then he was working on another project. The loan took at most one week to secure. I contacted him that I was ready to start only to find he had put me a couple of jobs back. At this point I was making payments on my equity loan while he worked other jobs. He did offer to cancel the contract but I did not want to go through the process of interviewing contractors again.</p> <p>We started the job and while shopping for the vanity cabinet, toilet, tile, sink, etc, I realized that he low balled all items. When I asked about this Mr. Lay stated if he put a higher dollar amount on the contract he would not get any business. </p> <p> He did the work on my job while working another larger job and a couple of times we had the discussion that he was hurried on my job. He always stated he wasn't hurried. The work continued.</p> <p> When it came to tiling the walls around the bathtub and the floor of the bathroom,  I assumed he knew what he was doing. I had purchased bullnose tiles for around the shower walls at a higher expense than  the tile.  He caulked the bullnose and ruined the finished  effect they should have had. The tile on the walls of the bath area are uneven. The grouted line  is a very wide in some areas and narrow in others giving a very  unprofessional appearance.</p> <p> After the job was completed I had some personal family issues and when things settled down I contacted Mr. Lay to see what he could do to correct the mistakes and make me feel better about the job. He did come to the house and looked at the job and told me that  without ruining the walls there was nothing he could do.  </p> <p>Everyday that I go into my bathroom I feel I was made a terrible choice for a contractor, for a tile job and that I threw my hard earned money away. Mr. Lay, personally, is a very kind man. He was very neat in his work as far as cleaning up at the end of each day, but his tiling work leaves much to be desired.</p> <br />"

"I still don't have heat. The gas company is going to put a 30,000 watt heater on my wall for me. What they did didn't work. I didn't have to pay for it, it was done through a group organization. They goofed the second part up. I tried to get them to just replace the unit on the wall, they needed to do. I told them that I wasn't getting heat, now I'm using a portable heater. If I could get around it, I wouldn't use them again because, every time I look at the hole in my ceiling that is supposed to be putting out heat, if I can find someone else then, I will go around them."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Farmington, MO

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
