"The initial installation was performed very quickly, within a few hours, and the workers appeared competent. Over the past 8+ years several of the windows needed repair for sliding mechanisms, which is not a huge problem, and one sliding door had to have new glass as the seal failed and there was condensation in-between the panes. Over the past few weeks we noticed a musty smell in our house which we localized to our Florida room which has the sliding doors and 4 windows. After looking at the side windows all of them appear to have extensive mildew inside the windows, and are the source of the mildew smell. The problem has accelerated as the weather has gotten warmer. Upon calling Castle I was told that the best they could do is to have someone come out in 2 weeks to assess the problem, even though the room is now unusable and could easily be a safety hazard. Fortunately we can keep some air flowing thru the room and shut the doors, thereby keeping the smell out of the rest of the house. The response by Castle was rote, and was treated no differently than if a sliding mechanism was stuck. The person on the end of the phone did not appear overly sympathetic, and did not seem capable of doing anything but putting us on their normal schedule for when a service person was available.
I would not use Castle again due to poor service, and what I believe was a decrease in the quality of the product. This is only my experience, but very disappointing as it is not the most helpful thing to have a lifetime warranty on the windows if they can't be fixed in a timely manner.

"I just completed the job so I can not rate the job satisfaction it is too early to tell. I did not have an awning made. The job required gutters repair, replacement of storm and entry doors, and a replacement drain cap. So far items are holding up. Communication with the company was not satisfactory. Left many phone messages, one time did not reply to phone or email. And was late to the job once. They are trustworthy financially and I believe very knowledgeable."
