"I was highly skeptical knowing of the bait-and-switch tactics of some low cost maintenance procedures including THIS duct cleaning service. The technician showed me the mildew in a couple ducts. After cleaning all 12 ducts, he explained and insisted on showing me the damage. I was previously an appliance salesperson and was trained on air conditioning so I understood the issue. He gave me the price for the mediation with no pressure or scare tactics. At that point, I decided to proceed. I knew the dangers of mildew and that it could spread if not stopped. I hate to spend money but know this was a necessary repair. I am recommending this company to my close friends and family who know that I rarely endorse or recommend repair people."

"I thought they did a good job, but then what does a 67 year old woman know about A/C service. Our A/C had been running fine just wanted the annual service in case we needed Freon or anything. Four days after they serviced it the A/C shut off and wouldn't come back on. They sent the technician back out the same day and he lifted little plug on the drain and it started right back up. He left and it ran ok that night...then it shut off again. My wife is a Chief Engineer and she brought home a wet vac and a CO2 tank and clear it again. She showed me where the plug to the drain was for if it shut down again. I spent the next day having to lift the drain and then manually sucking water from the drain pan to keep it running and not leaking on our floor. Saturday morning I called and told them I wanted them to come back and fix whatever it was they had done. They sent the guy back out and his boss told him to hook a hose up to the drain-line outside and flush it out from there. I told him we have a common drain that is for 4 Condo's and showed him where it was. When he hooked it up and turned on the water, it flooded our downstairs neighbors Condo. Him and my wife helped them clean it up. They were very nice considering. He then hooked the hose up inside our house and flushed it slowly from inside our Condo and then used the wet vac to blow-it out again. This last action seems to have fixed the problem. I really appreciated the fact that they came back twice to try to fix the problem, but the fact that they didn't know flushing that single drain line would flood our neighbors Condo or the fact that our A/C was fine before they serviced it means I'll not use them again."

"

This company has great customer service. They are quick and responsive.

We installed our A/C towards end of March 2013, but didn't move into the house until March 2014. When our unit was giving us problems, they came out and took care of the issue, and everything works great now. (The blower cable came loose).

We also recently purchased a new return box to replace our old one, and Jon was very courteous and did a good job.

"The repair went well but had to deduct a couple of stars on the rating for a few reasons. 1. When they went to clean the air handler, they said it sprayed out. Not sure what they meant but some kind of gunk/dirt flew out all over the hallway, on the ceiling, on the walls, everywhere. 2. They took the unit to the backyard and were about to spray their Acid/cleaner over it in the middle of my lawn. Fortunately, they came to alert me right before starting and I told them not to ruin my lawn with acid and move it to the front of the house in the driveway. They still only moved it to my front lawn where I have rocks placed but they should have just moved it to the driveway like I originally asked since they were dealing with acid. 3. My most concerning part was a day later, I happened to be reviewing my security camera and saw that they came back the same day around 8pm (6 hours after they left) and they just walked into my backyard. I could not make out what they took on camera but I am assuming they left something of theirs in the backyard. It would have been nice if they called me or left a message ahead of time to let me know they needed to come back. Perhaps I could have made arrangements to be there or place their item on the porch. They took it upon themselves to just come back whenever they felt like it and just walk into my backyard unannounced. I would not have even known if I did not check the security camera. For future reference, maybe not trespass when your work has been completed and a simple courtesy call would have sufficed. All in all, they fixed the repair I needed. Seemed to be on pare with other competitive prices."

"Technician arrived ahead of time after giving me a curtesy call. Listened to my explanation carefully then did a thorough inspection. It was clear after he opened up the outside unit what was wrong. Following repair took the rest of the day, including getting parts, and the unit works fine. I know something if ac units and not one replacement item was unnecessary. I was also given a good discount because coil and compressor were exchanged together. The technician even checked my relays. He did exactly what I wanted and needed ant nothing more. Next service i am calling these guys again."

"Called right away, we discussed project, she provided ballpark estimate and we tentatively set up an install day for next Thursday. I ended up however going with a different company. It all came down to price. These days $100 or more saved, you go with the cheaper company if they both are top companies. Appreciate their quick call back."

FAQs for central a/c service or repair projects in Fort Lauderdale, FL

A condenser fan motor is a crucial part of your air conditioner that prevents the compressor from overheating. It pulls heat from your AC unit to cool the refrigerant moving through the condenser coils. This allows your system to blow cool air and keeps everything running smoothly.

The most common causes of AC fan motor failure include loss of lubricant in the system due to overheating and a rusted or leaking run capacitor. Poor lubrication can also cause failure in the belt drive, which may impact the AC fan motor. Weather and electrical components can also affect your AC. For example, a storm could send water into your motor windings and damage the internal components.

Air conditioner fan motors last about 12 years on average, though they can last longer if maintained well. This includes keeping them clean and cooled as needed with annual air conditioner checkups. Routine maintenance is essential to catch AC fan issues early. An HVAC inspection can cost between $70 and $500, while AC cleaning services may range from $100 to $400.

A broken AC fan motor may need replacement because this part usually can’t be repaired. Several things indicate it’s time to replace your AC fan motor, including buzzing noises, a constantly running fan, unusually high energy bills, or an aging system. If you notice these signs, call an HVAC pro for help before the faulty motor starts to strain other parts of the AC system.

There are clear warning signs of a bad AC fan motor, including unusual interruptions in the fan operation. The motor might be malfunctioning if you hear weird noises like grinding or rattling or if the fan continues to spin when the unit is off. These indicators compromise your AC’s cooling performance and increase your energy costs. Addressing these issues immediately by contacting a trusted HVAC professional prevents further damage and safeguards your HVAC's efficiency.

Replacing your AC fan motor takes a professional one to four hours. The technician will start by assessing your system and safely removing the damaged motor. If a new part needs to be ordered, it might take a few days. Once the part is available, your pro will install it properly and make sure your system is running smoothly.
