We devoted the entire day to this matter, only to receive an automated call around 5 PM notifying us that the plumber would not be able to attend. As a direct result, we had to take a day off work and subsequently rescheduled the appointment. On that day, the initial plumber arrived and found the gasket faulty. He advised us to procure the part independently and provided a total cost estimate of $470, which included an $80 discount for arranging the repair after the necessary parts were obtained. We ordered the required components and set up another appointment. The second plumber replaced the gasket and subsequently charged us an additional $310 beyond the original estimate.
