"Julien came out and did the estimate the same day I called. As luck would have it, he was available to do the work that same day while he was there if I wanted! I was in a bit of a hurry, so I accepted his kind offer. He was courteous and professional, wore a mask and booties and took a lot of care when moving my things around to do the work. We needed a gas line run from our basement to our main-level kitchen for a new gas stove. Julien even offered to come back and help install the appliance if I needed it. The workmanship was high quality and the new stove works great! Overall, outstanding experience!"

"Michael, Clinton and Chris have been awesome! They installed an A/C unit with our existing furnace. We had a few bumps along the way but they are trustworthy and willing to go the extra mile to make sure their customers are happy! They are always on time and professional. Would recommend them to anyone needing Heating and Air Services."

"They are quick, friendly, and efficient. I would hire them again. Oct 2017 Install or Replace a Water Heater Comment: In an earlier review I stated I would hire these guys again, and I did. Diego and his associate, Angel, replaced my hot water heater today. They went above and beyond on this job replacing all my old pipes, and just cleaning everything up. I know they did way more than the average service person would have done, and I am very pleased with the results. They are very friendly and eager to teach their customers about their products. Diego will be my go to person for any future gas, or plumbing needs!!"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Fountain, CO

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
