"Was completely bungled by previous resident and installer of sink. He simplified the pipes and made the connection from disposal to the sink a straight alignment without extra pipes that weren't needed. Bret was very friendly and explained everything before he did it.  <br />"

"Called Element and they promptly came out and assessed the situation, and made what I consider a great recommendation to replace it with a dual heat pump and natural gas type system to give us both warmth in the winter and cooling in the summer. They installed when they said they would, and wow, what a quality install which included replacing the 30 yr+ old duct work. They explained and demo'd how the unit worked. They seemed to really know their business. They did a thorough inspection an even discovered that the vent under the kitchen sink never had duct work installed to it when the house was built. I thought the price was fair for what we got. I will say our winter utility bills are significantly lower than they used to be. I liked them so much they will doing the maintence on the unit, and when it comes time to replace the upper unit system we'll select them again. They are that good compared to all the other HVAC service people we've had over the years. Above all they were honest in their dealings, not trying to oversell us like another vendor tried to do."

"I had cut over my furnace to natural gas a couple of years ago. I was ready to get rid of my LP, but I needed to convert my stove, gas logs, dryer, and hot water heater. I purchased a new NG water heater and installed it myself, but I had Kenneth cut the gas line from LP To NG. He installed three regulators to cover the 4 appliances and performed a leak test. He got everything up and working, tested each appliance, and was extremely professional. He came over and waited for the inspector, and everything went as smooth as silk. He charged a very reasonable price for the amount of work. I would hire him again without hesitation."

"Eric Mendoza, the HVAC technician, arrived on time. He completed maintenance on both the heating and cooling equipment over a two day period including replacing capacitors on the gas furnace and A/C, and installing a new hot surface igniter on the gas furnace. He also replaced the air filters. Eric answered all of my questions, including advising me on air filters. He was polite, efficient and professional. I would highly recommend Eric Mendoza and Raleigh Heating & Air."

"Wonderful! We invited Rob to return for this recent plumbing job. A few months ago, he replaced the hot water tank in our house. Rob was on time, explained the repairs he needed to make, worked overtime with the hot water tank job (never charging overages), and came back today and offered a bit of ‘free’ advice for a repair we could fix on our own. Rob is professional and extremely personable. I’m sure Rob is making his father proud as he takes over the family business."

"Called regarding a gas leak in my house. Needed a contractor to come out day-of to repair as most of my appliances rely on gas. Left a message at Richardson and was called back later in the day. After a bit of phone tag they informed me they could not come out to repair the leak for 2 days because of other commitments. Searched around and found another company which could come same day. No problems with Richardson, just found someone else who could meet the timeline."

"I had a great experience with Comfort Master.  Mike came out and did all the things I hoped he would- measured the square footage, counted and inspected the windows, went in the attic and under the house and looked at the existing duct work.  He used that to determine what size system we needed and then showed us all the options. What was most important though is the fact that I felt like I could trust him.  A new heat pump is a large investment.  I needed to trust the product I was buying along with the company installing it.  The pricing was close to the other estimates we received and since we paid cash, we were able to negotiate the cost down a few hundred dollars. <br /> On installation day they showed up on time and got to work.  The house?s water pipes blocked the easiest installation route, so they crawled (with the air handler) around the perimeter to get it in place.  They then had to take apart the old air handler to get it out.  Several other companies estimated cutting these pipes (at an additional cost?), but Comfort Master found a better way.  At the end of the day they cleaned everything up and hauled it off.  The new system works better than we ever imagined.  This was a great all around experience from a company you can trust. <br /> <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Franklinton, NC

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
