"This review is more than a year overdue, but I was very happy and satisfied with the job done by Brick Restoration Inc. I had a plumbing leak (frozen pipe break) in the wall behind the kitchen sink, and the repair could only be made from the outside wall of the house. BRI quoted me a very fair price for brick removal and restoration. When it came time restore the hole in the brick, BRI came back out and filled in the hole with all new bricks. Since it is nearly impossible to find the same kind of bricks, their brick layer was very skilled at painting the bricks to match the existing bricks. I was very happy with the work that was done. I will call BRI again if I ever need brick more brick work done."

"TX QUICKBIDS The Team was both professional and respectful of how they approached and completed my project. I wanted to remove the hardee planks and replace with brick or brick veneer on the back wall of my house. The before and after. Loving the results. "

"Had my 11 YO full stucco house with several cracks and few more serious stucco issues. Efrain came to evaluate and we agreed on the extent of the job which included repair of several walls applying a mesh with base coat, texture, primer paint and finally have the full house repainted. This included soffit, gutters and down spouts. Efrain even provided cleaning all the windows and power wash the driveway. I have to admit it was a nice surprise. The house looks now even better than when we first built it 11 years ago. Efrain does follow up on his promise and the quality of the job is unmatched."

"Doing my research and using AngiesList, I selected 5 contractors to provide me bids for this project. Lets just say that 4 of the estimates/estimators were underwhelming. Roland from Living Improvements came out and from the beginning I was impressed. Roland was very friendly and had great ideas. Needless to say I was very comfortable with him and his plans for my job. All the estimates included building a typical hip roof patio tied into the house built to match the existing structure and rebuilding the outdoor kitchen using stone and granite. My house is brick but I wanted stone columns on the patio and the outdoor kitchen which is 30 or so feet away. I was afraid that the stone with all the brick between the two areas would look funny. Roland suggested that I remove a huge brick column (that I hated anyway) that is located between the two areas and replace it with a matching stone column (great idea that no one else mentioned). The matching column ties both areas together perfectly and looks great.Rolands bid was the last one I was waiting on and I was really hopeful that it was going to be competitive with the others i'd received due to his estimate having more work included. I was shocked when it came in below the other 4 bids. I called Roland that afternoon and hired his company and signed his proposal. I am not a very trusting person when it comes to contractors, but I was put at ease when he defined the payment terms for the project. Basically, half due at completion of roof and the remaining due at completion. Living Improvements took care of all HOA approvals and work started about two weeks later.Day one, the guys showed up on time and this is when I met Steve, the project manager. I was ready to get this work finished and off they went. Demo was mostly completed on the first day and all carpentry was complete in 4 days. Another day to frame out the new outdoor kitchen to match the space and my specs. I was floored by how quick these guys worked, they didn't play around. Not only did they good work (and i'm very anal on details) they also included details that just give the patio that extra coolness factor. The most impressive part of this project was Steve, the project manager. After his carpenters had finished their work, he came out and noticed that one of the columns wasn't exactly level. He came to me, explaining what he found and told me that he was going to call back the carpenters to fix it. It was barely noticeable, but it was very important to him for everything to be perfect. He ended coming out on a Saturday, jacked up the roof and moved the post over an inch to get it perfect. This isn't the only example of him doing something like this, just the first. Needless to say I was impressed by his attention to detail that he maintained through this entire project. One of the stone columns wasnt up to his standards and he called the Stone Masons back the next day to tear it down and rebuild it.Everything was scheduled so well it would have made a drill instructor proud. Roofers, Electrician, Painters, Granite and Stone Masons were onsite exactly when they needed to be leaving no down time at all. I got calls every day letting me know what was going on, i really appreciated. Start to finish, three weeks including almost one entire week when it was raining so much nothing could get done.So now, i'm typing this under my new patio out looking the pool, with steaks on the grill and I have a HUGE smile on my face. What a great experience, Thank You, Living Improvements."

"The two masons completed all the cracks and secured the two walls, even adding a little mortar in a few places not on the estimate. The work is professional..... You would never know there had been any cracks. Mortar matches perfectly. Reasonable rates. A house is a expensive asset, every one can immediately see a DIY repair (never matches) - Call the professional masons, you'll be glad you did."

"We worked with Jordan on a pretty extensive project. He added travertine tiles to our front porch, doubled the size of our patio with pavers (including a retaining wall, firepit, seating wall and low voltage lighting), and added pavers on the side of the house for trash storage. The project has helped to totally upgrade our backyard. Jordan and Allied did an incredible job! We are elated with the outcome!"

FAQs for brick or stone siding: install or completely replace projects in Fresno, TX

Brick siding offers numerous advantages, including high durability and resistance to harsh weather conditions, requiring minimal maintenance and lasting for generations. It provides natural insulation, enhancing energy efficiency by regulating indoor temperatures year-round. Brick is fire-resistant, improving home safety, and reduces external noise for a quieter indoor environment. Its timeless aesthetic appeal boosts curb appeal and can increase your home's resale value.

Yes, you can add brick to an existing house. One option is to remove the current siding and install full brick masonry, which involves laying traditional bricks with mortar for a solid brick exterior. Alternatively, you can opt for brick veneer siding, a thinner layer of real or manufactured brick applied over the existing structure. Brick veneer is typically more affordable and easier to install while still providing the aesthetic benefits of brick. Both methods can enhance your home's appearance and value.

Yes, installing brick siding often provides a significant return on investment. With an average ROI of around 77%, and some returns exceeding 80%, brick siding enhances curb appeal, energy efficiency, and longevity, making your home more attractive to potential buyers and potentially increasing resale value.

Brick siding is known for its exceptional longevity, often lasting over 100 years when properly maintained. Regular maintenance, like repointing mortar joints, ensures its durability over time. Brick veneer, while thinner than full brick masonry, is durable and can last up to 50 years or more with proper care. Both options offer long-lasting protection and value for your home.

When choosing brick siding, consider your budget, as costs can vary depending on brick type and installation method. Also, consider your desired aesthetic; different bricks offer various colors, textures, and styles to complement your home's architecture. Installation time and complexity are factors, with options like brick veneer being quicker and less labor-intensive than full brick masonry. Additionally, assess the maintenance requirements and durability to select the best option for your long-term needs.

Alternatives to brick siding include vinyl siding, which is cost-effective and low-maintenance and offers a variety of colors and styles. Wood siding provides a natural, classic look but requires more upkeep to prevent weather damage. Fiber cement siding is durable and can mimic the appearance of wood or masonry without the high maintenance. Each alternative has its own advantages, so consider factors like budget, aesthetics, and maintenance when making your choice.
