Recently I engaged Andy to service our well-water acid neutralizer tank, because I questioned the reliability of service by another company 13 months earlier. Andy tested our water and found that its pH value was 6.97, which was consistent with previous readings over the past six months when he did other work for us. Because our well-water pH is essentially neutral, Andy explained the acid neutralizer tank is not necessary. He offered two options: 1) remove the tank (thus leaving us with only the water softener tank) or 2) empty it, which option I selected. He also reduced the cost of the service call. Andy’s approach starkly contrasts with the other company that for years took advantage of an unsuspecting customer by charging almost $300 to “service” the tank and unnecessarily adding expensive calcite. "Had a attic fan die after 5 yrs. It was wired incorrectly (not to the thermostat) so it ran all the time. Beacon (local) did wonderful electrical work last fall so I had them come in again. Mr. Friday showed me the issue and did a replacement. Show me how he hooked it up, to the thermostat and job was done in less than an hour. Made a huge mistake with prior national company (guy waving from back of the truck) then reviewed prior work from then and was totally disappointed. "The original project I hired them for was to replace leaky faucets in both the kitchen and bathroom. Frank, the owner, was responsive and professional. They scheduled the work promptly and showed up on time. Unexpected issues were discovered that required a second trip and additional work. "I will NEVER use ARS of Virginia again! ARS failed sales & installation. During sales pitch on 12/17, I was told install team would cover floors & anything else. 12/18- During HVAC installation, install team drilled into the brick wall to run the pvc piping outside. They did not cover anything so the brick dust went everywhere! They also failed to seal around the pvc piping hole indoors so cold air was seeping in. Lastly, they spilled pvc primer that is not removable all over my white floors. 12/21- Called ARS b/c house was filled w/ a plastic burning smell. ARS sent tech who said he could not smell anything due to his nasal congestion. He explained that new HVAC may need to ?air out?. 12/23- Heat stopped working in middle of night. Called ARS tech discovered that the air handler burned out b/c it was improperly installed. Plastic condensation tubing was installed outside so it froze & led to heat failure. That explained burning plastic smell b/c air handler was working overtime."

"Snell installed our new HVAC and we were initially pleased. However, the unit failed a county inspection. When Snell reached out to set up a repair, our window was 10am-2pm. The technician showed up at 4pm without the materials he needed. He promptly left having done nothing, said he would get what he needed and return. We heard nothing."
