The work has been sitting there for about a month as I try to get the work inspected and get this nightmare behind me. I am so naive and trusting. Never again. "Thermo Direct installed a HVAC for me donated by Resources for Seniors. A friend of theirs who works at RFS, gave them the bid. I thought that was illegal but it was done. The unit never has worked from the day of installation. They had to jerry-rig it to keep it from shutting off. The receptionist asked if I knew how to work the thermostat? It turned out the unit was shutting off as a safety. The water was backflowing into the unit. To stop this action, it would shut down. They tilted it to stop the backlog. It has never cooled properly and required maintenance often. Deryk Lynn would come sometimes because he was at the time, the only licensed tech and everyone else worked under his license. I was charged for parts that were under warranty (the warranty is good for 10 years) and labor 1 year. My warranty on the parts doesn't expire until 2028. They're expensive, unprofessional and will not honor their word. I could go on but space won't allow."
