"They are really good. I had four guys out here for, like three days. They put in a great heat pump real easily. Not only did they put in a new furnace, but the ducting that was in here at the house was, like, 30 years old so they tore it out and re-did it with custom ducting made out of big sheets of metal. They only charged me $3,000 for the furnace. I am glad I did because it has made a huge difference in the air quality here. They came out yesterday. They said they would be back for the winter servicing. I have an oil backup so they were out for a number of hours yesterday. They will service it for the next 10 years and it is under warranty for 10 years too. They are great guys. Frank Ford is the owner of it. He and his guys do excellent work and really care. Their prices are as good as anybody. The price depends on what unit you get so it is hard to say. These guys are terrific. I would say if you needed a new heat pump or furnace they should be number one on your list.

"Project: Conversion from oil to gas heat and water heater including oil tank removal I donât normally write reviews so Iâll start with the bottom line and go into more detail below. I highly recommend Burns & McBride for your heating, A/C jobs. From the sales, demolition and install they did the job right and for a good price. They participate in Energize Delaware program where DE provides rebates on upgrades in heating, A/C and insulation from select servicers enrolled in their program, saving you money. My oil furnace was 27 years old and had minor repairs to keep it going, the oil tank was from 1974 when the house was built. The tank was in the far corner of a crawl space not an easy place to remove. The water heater was a 10 year old electric about the time to start thinking of replacement. I had four estimates for the job. Bidders fell into two categories, those who participate in the Energize DE program (which qualified for DE rebates) and those who did not. Companies not in the program trashed it and said it was too much work to comply with the rules and that the cost would be inflated by the contractors (BALONEY!!). Those in the program gave me a sense of the cost before the rebates but none gave me any sense that they were capable of all aspects of the job and most did not even come back with a bid. Jim Myers from Burns & McBride was my salesman; he worked in the business and knows his stuff. He came in assessed the job and put together a plan with the costs and eligible rebates on the spot. By far the most professional of 4 other companies I spoke to. The crew, Calvin and Keith, spent the first day getting rid of the old equipment including cutting up the old oil tank. The next day they worked late putting a new furnace, tank less water heater, and humidifier and took care of all the gas and water line hook ups. These guys worked hard, knew what they were doing and did a GREAT JOB. They got us up and running the second day as promised. If you thinking of any doing any heating A/C work you really ought to call Burns & McBride, I was very impressed and pleased with their work"
