"I researched Angie's List for a company to replace our garage door and found great reviews for Dover & Company Garage Doors, in Flint, MI. I followed the link to Dover's website and requested a quote. They called the next morning to set an appointment to meet at my house with samples. Tina Hering took measurements and discussed options with us. We selected the door and color we wanted, as well as the opener that provided all the functions we wanted. The size of our door was larger than their standard double (16'x8'), so was ordered with a promised fulfillment of 3 weeks. The order was placed on December 4th. It arrived earlier than promised and installation was scheduled for Dec 21st. On December 21st, Dover called to inform me that they were shorthanded on installers due to illness and asked to reschedule, if possible. The scheduler said he'd talk to his manager to see if there was a way to install that day, but penciled in a reschedule for Dec. 26th. Twenty minutes later, I received another call saying they would arrive to do the installation in 20 minutes. Jake and another man arrived and proceeded to install the door. It took abut 3-4 hours for them to remove the old door, tracks and opener, and install the new tracks, door and opener. They explained all the functions and ensured the door was operating correctly. They also swept the garage floor and wiped the door, inside and out, lubricated the springs, hinges and wheels. We are very satisfied and happy with the purchase and service from Dover & Company Garage Doors."

This job involved new construction for both doors so I wanted the installer to arrive earlier than 10:00.   I talked to several individuals at the company but could not get any help on this issue.  I even asked to speak with the owner but the said he was out of town. The excuse was that the installer had to go to the warehouse to get the doors before going to a customers house. Not a good reason to me.  Every major thing I've done to my home the installers had to pick up the materials before coming to my house and they were at 8:00.  The installer arrived on time and had every thing he needed to do the job.  The front door was installed in about 3/12 hours with out damage to my walls or molding.  He cleaned up very well around the inside and outside of the house.  The side door was installed in about the same amount of time.  There was some damage to the drywall around the door on the inside of the house and the installer did not caulk around the molding like he did the front door.

When I called the company about it they gave me a hard time about sending someone out to patch the holes because I signed the paper work.  The second person I talked to said someone was coming out the next day but instead I got a phone call saying I should not have signed the paper work.  I explained to her that I understood that but the holes were put there by the installer and they should repair them. I told her I had pictures so she had me email them to her. When no one called me back I called them again they were still trying not to send some one out. When I told Roz that the money for the doors was being provided by a grant and I was not going to approve final payment until the holes were fixed she arranged for someone to come out the next day.  It took the guy 15min to patch the holes and caulk around the door.

"From the day Mac came to our house to explain options and clarify the process and price, we were sold and convinced that using All-Weather Seal was the best option to meet our needs.  Even after the initial order we requested a few minor changes and he was very accommodating.  In fact, as we placed the order over Labor Day Weekend, he even came to my work place to pick up the check we made and finish all details for the order.  After we finished the order when we finalized changes, Mac came back to my office to sign the contract again with requested changes.  He always accommodated our needs and our work and after-work schedules of my wife and me.  Just about the time we were going to call All-Weather Seal about the installation of the windows, sure enough Mac called again and let me know I would  be hearing from the installers about setting up a date/day/time to do the work.  One of the staff came to do one final measurement of all the windows and within a few days the installers came to our home on a Saturday to remove our old windows and install the new ones.  They were on time and prompt in their arrival.  They were respectful of our home and took care to make sure everything was done properly with the installation throughout the day.  As they worked they cleaned up what was not needed any more, then left the area in front of our home spotless as if they had never been there and the new windows had always been in place.  We were totally impressed with the entire process, the price and the work ethic, honesty and workmanship of all involved.  While we did not have a budget to do ALL the windows at this time for our entire house, we would contact All-Weather Seal in a minute if and when we are interested or able to install other windows or doors in our home.
