"I was worried about having the leak repaired. The bathroom is all tile and no access to the tub or pipes unless demolition was done (or so I thought). The repairman looked at the options from downstairs (go through the ceiling). Of course, I hadn't thought about that. After careful measurements, he determined he could get the job done by accessing from the ceiling in the laundry closet. The two foot section of pipe was split from end to end. Luckily, because of the angle of the pipe, all the water flowed to one end that happened to be above the door frame. There was no water damage to any ceiling (hallway or den, which is where the pipe originated). The drywall ceiling in the closet was cut (smaller section than I imagined would work after seeing the size of the pipe), work completed, then drywall fastened back. There is no visible damage. I could NOT be happier! Also, I had one toilet that was leaking between the tank and the toilet (gasket). Instead of just replacing the gasket, he rebuilt the toilet (he saw several issues that needed attention). He was FAST and efficient. Unlike other plumbing companies, Bradley Plumbing doesn't charge by the job (flat fee for rebuilding a toilet). They charge for parts and labor. Because he was so efficient, the labor was minimal. For ALL the work -- labor and parts, it was just over $300. It cost me almost that for another plumbing company to rebuilt ONE toilet -- forget the leak from the upstairs bathroom! I will ALWAYS call them for my plumbing needs going forward!!! (To Bradley Plumbing, this was Northfield Blvd condo, not address you'll see, Angie's list wouldn't let me add it for some reason. THANKS!)"

"Great. My experience was very positive, unlike the previous reviews here. I chose Holt because of good Google reviews and good price. Since they charge by the hour I was hesitant to select them, but there were no surprises. They were competitive in estimates. And they give a Senior Discount, which is much appreciated. Lori in the office was pleasant and excellent in giving estimates for heater install with required expansion tank and regulator and how to measure current tank to ensure I got the correct size. Based on measurements, I needed to get a 30 gallon instead of a 40 gallon like I had (they make heaters larger since I last had the 40 the installed.) There were no surprises - no addons, no extra parts or labor, no markups, etc. The plumbers called to say they were on the way, arrived on time, were pleasant, professional, skilled, answered questions easily and thoroughly, and were focused and efficient in time management. They removed all debris and cleaned up well. Can't say anything but a good experience for a large, labor intensive project in a small closet space. Will call Holt again. Recommend Holt to others."

"I had my first issue this month and had no idea where I should take my car to get fixed. Luckily, I came across an old friend who recommended The Mechanic Spot; after looking at their reviews, I was certain they would do a great job.  <br /> Every time I would call to get an update, every employee I spoke with was able to thoroughly explain how far along he or she were on my vehicle and how much longer it would take. They always answered all my questions and were always very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be coming back. <br /> <br />"

"It was a very good experience. They were able to come out the next day, which was fine as the pipe only leaked when the water at the bib was turned on. They were very friendly on the phone and called to confirm when the plumber was on the way. He arrived at the specified time and was very friendly, informative and did the work quickly and cleaned everything up. We would definitely use them again!"

"I was nervous about this as I had never had to install a gas line. I thought it was going to be intensive, expensive and might mean my having to paint the laundry room that I had just completed because we'd moved in only days prior. He was to the point, didn't try to upsale, and never stopped working. I really appreciated having the ability to dry a couple of loads of clothing (the weather wasn't cooperating, though I tried hanging the clothing outside) in just a few hours. Highly recommend!"

"They fixed a leak in the freon. They were fine. They were easy to deal with, fair priced, professional, punctual, They came out right away. There was no delay. We called them that morning, they said they would be out at 10am. They were there at 10am. I thought their pricing was fair. We are very price conscious on that rental property. We have gotten estimates in the past just in general. Their price seemed to be fair. Their hourly labor rate is fair and they don't upcharge. There was one person to do the job. They left the area clean. They were on time and responsive and their pricing was fair. Their work was good."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Greenbrier, TN

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
