"I'll start this review by saying that to me, the "end result" is what counts most.  And Neale and his company produced exactly the custom look security fence I had envisioned.  This was a bit of an unusual request, because even though many people have iron bars welded over their A/C units for security, I needed two large, expensive (side by side) heat pumps protected.  Also, I felt a "security fence" would look better than just metal bars.  So here was my experience: After 1st calling and getting leaving a message with an assistant, it did take a few days but Neale called me back to set up an appointment to give an estimate.  He arrived right on time, took a look at the situation, and after a few minutes of brainstorming we were on exactly the same page in terms of design - and I liked how he sketched it out.  I also felt his quote was very reasonable (his was the 3rd estimate I had gotten).  And I don't know, there was just something about Neale, I could tell he had a *passion* for security fencing and "keeping crooks out" so to speak.  After getting my estimate in writing via email later that day, I put down my (1/3) deposit.  About a week later, after fabricating much of the fence in his shop, Neale and his team arrived and got to work fast.  I took them 2 days total, which was fine (day #1 they installed the fence posts and the concrete needed to set overnight).  Day# was most of the assembly,  welding and the paint job. Now, about 2 weeks later, I am extremely happy with the final result.  Very secure, and very sharp looking!  Even the gloss black paint job is very nice.  My neighbors have made several admiring comments over the past week also.  The only thing I could fault, if anything, would be if speed - is critical too you.Baltimore Wrought does seem like a busy company so don't be surprised if there is a week or so delay / backlog.  Also, they do prefer cash payment vs credit card.  (I did my deposit on credit card and paid the final 2/3 cash).  But  these minimal factors were not a big deal for me, because *high quality* work and to a lesser extent, total price, were all I really cared about - and these guys definitely delivered on both!

"We are having a fence put up along our property lines and needed several shrubs and small trees cleared out. I called Freestate on Friday, the 25th and was able to set up an estimate for the following Sunday morning. Ben showed up on time, gave an estimate and confirmed they would be able to get me on the schedule for that week.
He promised to follow up with me right away to confirm the details. I received a voicemail later in the day confirming that we were on the schedule for the following day! We had a couple emails back and forth and received extremely fast responses each time.
As promised, the crew came out on Monday and removed everything. They did a great job clearing everything out without leaving any debris. The stumps were also ground out and my lot looks like there were never any shrubs/ trees planted in that location.
We had a great experience from the first phone call through the completion of the job and would recommend them to anyone needing tree work.

"s was my first job.  I understand how things will work in  the future.  The serviceman put in the fence post with quick dry cement, but he was not able to install the hardware to the new post to hang the fences.  Although I have had no fence for 2 weeks it was no one's fault. I am using the same company to finish the job.

"They initially scheduled the project for the week of November 28, 2016. I requested a 20x9 deck to be built. They stated that they wouldn't complete the entire deck in a week but would at least finish the framing. They did not complete the 2-hour onsite visit as stated in the deal. He visited the house for approximately 15 minutes. She stated later that the 2-hours would include time he worked on the deck plan and would include time spent on providing me a list of items needed for the deck. However, the list provided to me was not sufficient. It included less than 10 boards and only 2 bags of cement. One person came out to dig the foundation holes on November 28, 2016. He stated it took him five hours to dig four holes. After receiving approval of the foundation holes by the inspector, I was advised that due to weather conditions (rain or cold) they couldn't come out for another few days. They came out during the week of December 5, 2016. The workers advised me they couldn't complete a 20x9 feet deck, it had to be a 20x10 feet deck. So I asked them and the person doing the schedule why wasn't this mentioned before, and I didn't receive a good answer. I went ahead and changed the size and obtained approval by the HOA and the county. They put us on the schedule for December 20, 2016. On the morning of the 20th I received notice that they couldn't come out because it was too cold for cement. My partner called and complained to them and asked them to have someone come out at some point during the day. They agreed to send someone later in the day. The guys showed up at 2:15pm and worked for about two hours. The next day two other guys showed up to build the framing. During day one they put up approximately eight boards. The second day they were working and they said the deck was going to be too long. They stated it would be over 20 feet by a couple of inches. At this point, I advised them to do what they could to complete the framing. Because I did not feel as though I was getting good effort on their part. The framing was not approved by the county because the posts were too far apart. Now I need the posts to be moved or a new post to be put in. (I prefer putting in a new post.) I have already purchased the 20 feet deck boards. And I do not intend to go back to the HOA and the county to change my approval again. After this process I decided not to hire them to complete the deck."

"The electrician Greg, (Nice guy )needed to cut a ceiling outlet and then run wiring to a new light switch across the room. He had to cut  holes in ceiling and wall order to connect wiring to new switch. No big deal. He was professional and cleaned up afterwards. I would recommend them. Approx. 2 hours to do the job. All in all a good job. Looks great!

They arrived on the scheduled day of service and was efficient and even went above and beyond to brace a section of the fence which was not included in the quote. "With the wet spring we had, I was not promised a start date and I could see why. However, I was surprised to come home one night and discover they had been hard at work. They started work on the drainage system first and brought out a mini-digger to dig out the various channels they would need for the pipe. They installed a 16 x 16 catch basin (drain) by the side of the drive to catch water in heavy storms. The hooked up the catch basin, a downspout pipe from the front of the house that passes under the driveway, the sump pump and two other downspouts. All these black plastic pipes was connected to PVC pipes and hooked together into a central line that drains into a a 50 gallon tank in the garden. This tank is buried in the garden and has numerous holes in it to allow seepage and it is surrounded by rock to make it easy for water to leach into the surrounding area. The main line has a backflow preventer. The crew left the tank and backflow valve uncovered so we could inspect the set up and familiarize ourselves with what it looked like, where it was located, etc. before covering. The set-up was tested throughout the process to make sure the grade was right. We have not had a hard rain since installation. I would say their forte was unequivocably the drainage system and the stonework. The sidewalk, stairs and retaining wall were made of Versa Lok and/or Techo materials, and the nice curve in the sidewalk and construction of the stairs are better than I expected. I believe the stairs will remain long after the house is gone! The retaining wall is a good height for sitting, and they took extra measures to insure that dirt would not leach through the retaining wall. They made a suggestion towards the end of the project to install additional curbstone along a small bed leading up to the deck, and it was a good addition. They told us it would be an additional charge when we agreed, and the additional $250 charge was reasonable in our opinion. My major grievance is that I was not prepared for the general destruction of existing plant material in the areas where they worked. The deck was surrounded by various perennials, and I imagined they would be dug up and set them aside for re-planting when the project was finished. This was not in the quote. They did dig up some of the best specimens, but my husband and I replanted them elsewhere because we thought they would dry out or get destroyed before being replanted. This was not the case, as they were quick to replant within 2 days - but at this point I didn't know what to expect. I did have edging and mulching the area in the quote, and the plant materials were just plunked back into the general area and covered with mulch. Maybe they would have survived, but once again, I feel their forte is working with the pavers and stones and the drainage system, and not really with plants. I would use them again, and have actually asked for another sidewalk quote."
