"A crew showed up within the hour and immediately assessed and estimated, then went to work after I got the insurance OK. <br /> It took several hours to tear out what was necessary, not only due to the extent, but because they were thorough and ensured that what they removed, both anticipated and unanticipated, was indeed necessary. I appreciated that. After they set the machinery to dry the infrastructure, I didn't have to clean up after them. Only had to hose the sidewalk from all the wet flakes of drywall that was removed. The crew did not slack off, nor were they surly. "I highly recommend Water Damage DMV. We had two rooms in the basement damaged from heavy rainfall. We called 2 other "5 star" companies and this one was the only one to respond within 48 hours (not good when water is draining into your basement with mold growth). Very reasonable cost which was commented on by our insurance company (unfortunately we do not have coverage for flooding but good to know about the cost) unlike a few other companies they were dealing with. This company was extremely professional, provided excellent follow up services, flexible, responsive to our concerns, and rechecked for mold growth. They even came back a second time with the air blowers to re-dry one of the rooms after a second heavy rainfall. We were able to save the carpeting and padding in one of the rooms due to their immediate response thank goodness. No additional add on costs after the initial estimate and we were able to contract out drywall and paint repair with them at a very reasonable cost. I would give them 6 stars if I could."

"We had a fire at our townhouse a month ago, and the fire department hosed down all three levels with water. Unfortunately, the insurance company requested that we stay out of the house for 5 days until after they completed their investigation. By that point, the carpet and drywall were no longer salvageable.  <br /> Steve from KJS came out and gave us an estimate well under 24 hours of when I called him, and they began removal of all the wet materials the morning after I gave the "go-ahead" notice. Steve has had excellent communication throughout the process, from the first discussion to the final invoice. The quality of the work appeared to be excellent and exactly in line with what we had agreed upon. KJS was also an excellent value for the work being performed, coming in almost 40% lower than some of the other estimates we had received for similar work.
