"Anthony and his crew were wonderful to work with. Very clean and precise with their work. We had a total renovation of our upstairs bathroom. A standing stem shower was installed and also a new window. All new pipes and wiring. New lights and flooring with radiant heat,. They did all the molding and doors. A new bathroom and closet door. The job took a little longer than anticipated but well worth it. it is beautiful and just what we had wanted and more."

"Nick Conte & his crew are excellent!!! We have used them before so when we were getting our home ready to put on the market & needed some misc. work done such as fixing a leaky pipe, replacing a kitchen sink faucet, repairing a shower sprayer and fixing a broken handle on the bathtub faucet, I called Nick. Walter, who has been with Nick Conte for many years and a really nice guy, came over to review what needed to be done & gave us solid advice and proceeded to meticulously repair a pretty long list of items. They are very trustworthy and I highly recommend them."

"When I contacted Biondi, I was connected with his answering service; I did not get a call back the same day, but when I called again the next day, I was called back promptly. In order to have someone present at home when he came, we had to coordinate schedules, and he gave me his cell phone number so that we could do so. As soon as an inspection was done on his previous job, he came, installed the gas line, and moved the stove back in place by himself (a formidable task, given a 50 year old six-burner model!) He was courteous and professional."

"We had a little hiccup nailing down Keith for the start date that would work for both of us, but once that was accomplished, everything went very smoothly. Keith did exactly what the contract stated. He was extremely punctual, knowledgeable, clean, very careful with my premises, and professional. I wanted to use both A/C and heat before I put in my review. The A/C worked very well over the Summer and the heating season is just starting, but so far is also working very efficiently. I would highly recommend First Source Contracting to do an excellent job. <br /> I only have one caveat: Find your own electrician for the electrical work. The electrician that Keith partner's with, was very clean,  friendly, and had some excellent ideas, but there were two items that were either not up to code or needed adjustment, and he wouldn't correct them unless I paid for his extra time, which I wouldn't do. The little extra effort would have gone a long way, and would have been worth his while. <br />"

"The soil remediation took longer than expected but the delay was caused by my insurance company that covered the entire cost. David Lott, Art Pierson and everyone (Matt Morris, jim, John to name a few) were great and did an excellent job. They answered every question that I had, kept me up to date at all times and took care of everything including dealing with my insurance company and submitting the paperwork to NJDEP. When they removed the oil tank, my worst fear came true, the oil tank had holes and was leaking. ADR gave me a decent estimate on soil remediation. Gave them the ok to proceed, after digging about 15 feet, they found water contamination and they stopped the work. They told me that water is not part of my property but considered as NJ State. ADR told me to contact my home insurance asap, all the costs should be covered since I have 3rd party coverage. What a relief when my insurance confirmed that they're paying for the entire cost, it came out to a total of approx $90k - whew...I took some pictures but this site has a 10-pic limitation"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Highland Lakes, NJ

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
