Old units were replaced with new and more efficient units - TRANE 4 ton two stage SEER 17+ ECONET (condenser model RA-1748-AJ2CB, air handler model RH-2T-4821-MEACJA and communicating module Econet STAT model RETS-T601-SYS). Excellent work quality! Fast response! Very reasonable price quote for 10 years parts warranty and 5 years labor and service warranty! Honest and hard working person! All work was done in a couple of days (including old unit removal)! I am very happy and a very satisfied customer of his service for life!!! A+++++"

"Alex arrived when he said, on a late Saturday afternoon. He needed to cut down the post, he installed the mailbox. Cleaned the area, took the old mailbox. PERFECT. Professional, knowledgeable, kind and would hire again for all my handyman jobs."

"Install guys were nice and clean. They did forget to seal the gas exhaust pipe properly. A tech came back out that night to seal the PVC piping after I called them about it. Nice reaction but letting carbon monoxide exhaust leak into my basement in the first palce was not a quality job. The salesperson while polite was not aware that the three zone heating on my existing equipment was not compatible with the new Carrier system to be installed. Rather than confirm it with his manager he stated specifically that there would be no problem and the techs would demonstrate the zone heating before they left. Halfway thru the install the techs let me know that the zone controls would not work with the new system and I had to pay extra to make that work. Ok, lesson learned, never accept what the salesperson says only what they write on the order. Eventually I paid for the new board to be installed. Of course the new board is a special order and a week later and multiple calls I still do not have a date for if and when the install will be completed even though I have paid in full. Why the Install team does not confirm that the equipment is on order and when it might be installed is beyond me. I am patient but they need to keep the customer informed. As to the new Carrier Heat Pump and Gas furnace. Working beautiful now that they have sealed the exhaust pipe."

"I couldn't have hoped for more helpful, friendly and courteous service. These folks gave me a very reasonable price and showed up to pick my trucks up right on time. They worked right on my schedule, of which I was so appreciative. And delivery was made ahead of schedule, and there wasn't a scratch or ding on either of the trucks!!!! "Aaron removed the old faucet and installed the new faucet with no problem whatsoever. The toilet reset was more challenging. The waste pipe flange was not securely fastened to the subfloor and there was a fair amount of rust due to improper hardware the original installer used. Aaron secured the flange to the subfloor and removed the rust from the tile floor. He then installed a new wax seal, leveled the toilet and caulked the base. My wife and I are pleased with quality of the work done."

"It went amazingly well.  After we went through a nightmare kitchen renovation (a simple on - replace cabinets, sink, dishwasher) that took longer to do than build the Empire State Building - I'm not kidding - I looked it up. And a window replacement that was an nightmare (part of the ceiling fell in when they removed one window and they took no responsibility and as a result that window was not installed correctly) I was not looking forward to yet another project. We wanted to get our oak floors refinished and have boards replaced in some damaged areas.I had five estimates. One never gave us a quote or called us back; another said they couldn't do it unless they ripped the whole floor and no one would replace the boards, another quoted us an incredible price (I could have used it a down payment for another home.) And on. Daniel came in and life was good. He was respectful, personable, knowledgeable. Also, his adorable little son came to help with the estimate. <br /> <br /> He gave us a very fair quote (about what I expected to pay), replaced the baseboard (we supplied and painted it), agreed to do the work in two parts so we didn't have to empty the whole apartment (shifted everything to the bedrooms then to the living room); knitted the replacement boards perfectly so I couldn't tell where the large damaged areas had been (and the wood took the stain evenly); work completed on schedule; answered phone calls; respectful of neighbors, elevators, and building halls; cleaned up after work. <br /> <br /> Daniel cared for us like we were family. We trusted him and became quite fond of him. <br /> I am planning to replace the floors in my new apartment, and am so happy I have a fantastic person to do the job. Not only do I recommend Shalom without reservation, but I am going to use them again."
